Collection Hotel Birmingham

The hotel reception area is clean and the receptionist was helpful if not especially welcoming. The room was a mixture in that it was perfectly clean and had recently been refitted, but the wallpaper was torn and stained , the curtains not hanging securely and one light and the phone were not working. Again the bathroom was spotless but the trim along the bottom of the bath panel was missing and the remains of a previous seal were scruffy. All in all, it was as though a refurbishment had been only 80% completed. But the bed was comfy and we slept soundly.

room quite big great location staff need to be more helpful only disappointment lost my passport and lad on duty gave me a scribbled on piece of paper to write my details down ?

Hotel was ok just needs updating in rooms and the room I was in some of the lights didn't work

The heating unit made a loud noise every night after a few hours… I had to switch it off to stop the noise… could not sleep one night through… the door had to be scanned every time I want to enter my room scan card never work…

The hotel room and facilities were very good also the main entrance was very nice around the main corridors of the hotel looked tired. Over all a very happy with the stay.

No good at all, broken this broken that and when you notify night staff on duty then very less enthusiastic to assist Wasn't happy at all

absolute unbelievable hotel...from faeces on the skirting boards, missing shower heads, damaged furniture, stains on headboards, chairs.....avoid! avoid! avoid!

I saw all of the bad reviews hoping it was not that bad, but it really is. Its on verge if being derelict. Walls are damaged and grubby. Every where you looked it was damaged. Reception staff on check in nit friendly and welcoming. The bathroom had hole in door, no hot water , water pressure was terrible. Tv remote didnt work. Damaged table and broken lampshades. Stained curtains and worn out headboard. Bed was atleast alright. Just everywhere you looked was scuff mark, stain or chipped broken plaster. Radiators hanging off walls. Oil heater in room had broken wheels and leaning against walls. Then we got the weed smell which I saw in few reviews :( disappointing stay.

Hotel was good value for money but very noisy As there was a few rooms all night partying and fire alarm went of 3 times
