My partner and I along with my son an his girlfriend loved the luxurious big beds. The decoration and decor were beautiful. We were impressed with the helpful and friendly staff in particular the young man at reception David Ward. He was exceptionally helpful, explaining where to go and how to get there etc. Would recommend he gets a raise or promotion.

The bar was very expensive.

All staff were brilliant. Reception team, Spa and HaBar could not do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Spa facilities are good. Quite small but has enough to keep you occupied. Good location.

You have to pay an extra charge for using the hotel car park. You have to pay an extra charge to use the Spa facilities. If you are staying at the hotel overnight, both of these should be included in the hotel price as it is not a cheap hotel.

We are currently staying here. Booked this hotel specifically for the spa use. Arrived at midday all very lovely told our room would be ready early. Checked us in. Decided to walk in to Guildford for lunch and realised my husband had left his swim shorts at home. So bought a new pair to use in the hotel. Got back to the hotel changed headed to the spa only to be told we should have booked! What?! Why were we not told this at check in? We were also given a £25 voucher to use in the spa at check in…. Perfect opportunity to say if you want to use the pool you have to book. They said the spa is very small hence why you have to book. The spa in the Brighton harbour is very small and so is the spa at Southampton harbour very small… have never had to book. Very disappointed and feels a bit pointless being here now

The location was great, hotel was clean, comfortable, bright. Staff were amazing.

Added costs for parking, spa use. The duvet was lovely but quite warm for the time of year.

Big bedroom and great location

There is no clear notice anywhere on your website that the pool is child free. We booked with the purpose of taking our baby. Breakfast quality has dropped since visiting Southampton Harbour hotel 3 years ago. Much less choice and staff not very helpful, not wanting to make coffee just suggesting using the machine rather than accepting an order for a nicely made coffee.

Modern looking and very relaxed atmosphere. It was quiet and peaceful.

I have been struggling in this heat wave and wanted to head to a hotel for some AC and a proper bed. Brace yourself, I have a lot of fantastic points about the reception team! I emailed and promptly had the Front of House Manager 'Genny' emailing me back, and I got a clear understanding that she was the lady to speak to. She had such quick uptake to what I was after and great suggestions for what to book and handled my reservation with such care and expertise which gave me such a great feeling for the stay before I even arrived. Then, on check in I arrived late in the evening and there was Charlie who was a fantastic character with such knowledge and advice for me during my night here that I was even more relaxed and at ease about my stay. I then head up to my room and find that the AC is already on and cooling the room with a couple extra waters, which just goes to show that Genny/the Reception team took the briefest point I mentioned (about being too hot and trying to stay cool) and did their bit to keep me comfortable and happy! The room I had was apparently refurbished this month (new beds, lighting, design... The whole works) and let me tell you I couldn't last even 10 minutes laying down with the TV on it was SO comfortable on the beds. Best sleep of 2026 so far. Then the next morning, I have the pleasure of checking out with Asel+Sasha, who wore the warmest of smiles and made me wish I wasn't leaving so soon because yet another experience with the receptionists was so relaxing and EXACTLY what you'd expect from a hotel of this calibre. I only got the chance to properly interact with the reception so I shall DEFINITELY be returning this summer to experience more aspects of the hotel (I was saw the Long Bar menu and I HAVE to try them out). But all in all, I haven't been to any hotel before who had a team that displayed such exemplary service, I tend not to mention things to the staff in the moment because I feel I'm using using up their precious time, but I had to come online and highlight just how stellar this hotel is. I know I'll only think of the Harbour when talking about hotels in Guildford, it's superb!
