Casa Anjuna

Devidas the ops manager, is a consermate professional. He makes this hotel something special, we booked 3 nights in Nov-25 just off peak season, and we're treated like kings, the locale is about 15 mins walk to Curlies. Note Shiva Valley still under renovation at ti.e of te new. The swimming g pool is clean and generous. I would not hesitate to go back.

Greenery.. it’s tucked away so it’s peaceful.. The man at breakfast was pleasant. Mr Sameer the manager is very pleasant.

I arrived late and the room was not ready, the room was so cold and the AC was stuck at 16 degrees, no wifi in the room, no towels and when i asked i got told "towels finished, wait tomorrow". The next day I expressed my issues to the man at the reception. The man made 0 apologies and he was even rather annoyed at me saying “ok so what you want?”. An other staff member finally proposed me a new room. The new room was ok, but honestly no hot water, wires coming out of walls, mold...just really not up to the standards for this price.

Casa Anjuna is a beautiful historical property consisting of several buildings set in a wonderful tropical garden on a quiet street in Anjuna. The hotel is relatively small, cozy and has a nice pool deck in the back to relax by. A modest, but tasty breakfast is served in the morning and all its staff are friendly, upbeat and helpful. My room was spacious and the AC kept it nice and cool, with a pleasant terrace overlooking the pool. I was the only guest for most of my stay at Casa Anjuna, which added to the peaceful vibe of the place. The hotel helpfully arranged for a scooter to be delivered for me to rent at a good price as well as a driver for the journey back to Dabolim Airport on my journey out of Goa. All in all, this is a good choice if you want a place to relax and serve as a base during your stay in North Goa, close enough to all sights/bars but nice and quiet to return to after a long day out.

The property’s gardens are lush and well maintained, but the building itself is a case of “fading glory” – beautiful, but slightly rough around the edges at parts, which adds to the immense charm. However, a few things would improve the experience: there is no daily room service to speak of, and it would be helpful to have someone make the bed each morning, resupply coffee/tea/water and bring additional toilet roll/soap if needed. One had to directly ask for these to be supplied, which is not an issue but guests will be expecting this to happen automatically. My room, while very cozy, was showing signs of tiredness, with a few small stains on the bedsheet and duvet. Nothing that would bother me all that much, but also an easy fix to improve. The hotel manager requested me to pay in cash for my stay, which wasn’t agreed as part of the booking (despite him having a card machine). Not cool as this will cause one to incur ATM charges when withdrawing money, and should either be expressly stated in the booking or not requested of guests at all. On the other hand the hotel was very relaxed about when payment would be made, and communicated this via WhatsApp in a laid back manner without being pushy or chasing about it.

Very poor maintenance and unsafe conditions. Exposed electrical wiring next to the shower, dirty and broken tiles, green algae in the pool, and loud metal grinding for several days made it impossible to relax. The hotel is clearly not 4-star standard and feels neglected

Rates are Too high... if they offer good prices, I must sat they will get more and more clients...

We had an amazing and big room. I loved the room so much. The staff was nice, and the location was perfect.

Breakfast didn’t have a lot of options (for me, because I dont eat egg). Sheets had some stains on them.

Beautiful building situated very close to restaurants and bars in Anjuna but far enough away where it was quiet when you wanted to relax

Our room looked a bit tired in parts, could of used with perhaps a bit of a deeper clean and a lick of paint. Nothing major but a few cobwebs and dead bugs in the bathroom. There was also no hot water in the shower.
