Casa Anjuna

Very nice and authentic portugisien style place, far away from mass tourism

check-in: I arrived from Europe 2.30 am an nobody was on the reception, although I announced arrival time. The management was nice to charge less but for the next time I need to write prior again arrival time.

We loved the tranquility of the property, the heritage of the house and the tropical garden. The wonderful swimming pool was such a bonus.

Little not to like. Local club music sometimes in earshot but very faint

The hotel was a restful environment in close proximity to the busy tourist environment of Anjuna. A neighbouring cafe, The Flying Goat was our favourite part of the stay

The hotel was on the shabby end of shabby chic and could have done with more care with cleaning Sleeping is under a bedcover/throw without a clean sheet under the cover, which wasn't very clean We would avoid Anjuna beach. It's unfortunate it is so spoiled

The staff were all very helpful and friendly, I had a problem with the air con and they quickly arranged another room for me and got the problem fixed. The hotel is beautiful and I loved swimming in the pool, which is set in the lovely gardens. The manager sorted out taxis for us to travel on and was also very helpful. Casa Anjuna really is the oasis of Anjuna.

Some of the decor needs a bit of updating and a lick of paint but it didn’t concern me. Would have liked a wardrobe to hang clothes rather than a cupboard with shelves.

Lovely old Portuguese house with beautiful and well maintained gardens and a nice pool .

The whole place is in need of a refresh ( new bedding / towels - many had small holes or stains ) and a deep clean . We did raise the cleaning with the manager and there was some improvement following this . It’s a beautiful building and gardens but the service and cleanliness were not what one would expect for the prices they charge .

Had an amazing stay here, slap bang in the middle of Anjuna and just a stone throw from the main beach strip! Very relaxing and the room was spacious and clean. Staff were super friendly and was sad to see the place go after 5 nights (I just had to extend it by a night!). Would highly recommend, slightly on the pricey side but worth it!!

Price could be a little more competitive

The gardens are beautiful and the pool is nice. The staff were lovely. Breakfast basic but OK.

The building and surrounds are beautiful but the rooms and bathrooms are so terribly run down. Sheets, towels mattress old, worn and stained. Our room had no TV despite the it being a feature of our booking. The price of the room was very high for India and outrageous given the standard of the room.
