Hotel Plaza Playa - Near Playa del Carmen Main Beach

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms are light and airy with great air con and good showers. The balcony rooms overlook the street and a wholesale vegetable supplier where, after dark the trucks start arriving.... I couldn't sleep because of the noise and went to the reception to see if I could move rooms. No problems and I was re positioned at the back of the hotel where peace was waiting! If you live in a city and are used to noise it probably won't bother you, but I don't and was!

I stayed here 4 nights. First night it was hard to sleep because of the noise from outside (factory) but after changing room (even number room) it was great experience. Big, very clean, comfortable beds with good WiFi. Free purified water available in the hallways and free coffee in the morning. It's very close to the beach, supermarket store and to the restaurants. Free parking anytime and very friendly staff.

The hotel and staff were excellent. Some of the other patrons were very noisy! They had no respect for the other people staying there! There was quite a bit of outside noise due to construction going on. We would stay there again with earplugs. The elevator and the locked parking lot rate a 5 Star rating

So this hotel is walking distance to the beach, little breakfast spots are nearby. It is clean, but the noise from the MEGA across the way can get loud at night. The hotel offers an urn of coffee in the morning but it was empty by 9:30 a.m. The elevator didn´t work, but that was not a big deal for me. Perfectly acceptable hotel and great price. Across the street is a meat restaurant like a churascuria, and it was packed every night. The smells were delicious. They advertised suckling baby goat. Would have liked to try but like I said, this restaurant was doing a fantastic business. If you can get in, try it our !!

The staff of this basic no frills hotel are friendly and try to make things good. The room was clean, but had insufficient towels, no wash clothes, and the shower was terrible. It went from scalding hot to cold in seconds and water flow was unpredictable. Facing the street was noisy as a major fruit distribution facility started operation at 02:00 with very loud trucks. We will not return to this hotel and do not recommend it.

This hotel is approximately 1km away from beach club Kool and Mamita’s and 1,5 km from Wah Wah beach club on the other side (Calle 2). We like to have some exercise by a walk to beach and restaurants as the rest of the day exists of laying down and eating😀. Good beds, good strong shower, rather quiet guests. If quests are not quiet, it is rather noisy. Fridge and safe in room. Friendly and helpful staff.

For the price you pay, the place is nice. The room was clean. The bed was a little too hard for me. But overall stay was good and I would recommend the place.

The hotel is located 5 blocks away to the main street in Playa del Carmen, we choose it because we need a place to stay to go to Coba, Tulum, visit Cenotes and complete other activities that we have planned in advance, so we don't spend too much time inside the hotel, the room was very small and we booked a room with two double beds, but they had nothing available when we arrived, so we get a room with one double bed and a sofa bed, very disappointed, also it was a little difficult for the person to find our reservations through Expedia. room and bathroom need improvements, we have some problems with the hot water on shower but we didn't complaint, no pool, not restaurant, no amenities, but just blocks away of everything including local restaurants, shopping, clubs, supermarket. I considered a little expensive for the service, but it was a high season and everything else was sold out, if you need a place to sleep one night will be fine.
