Rooms weren’t cleaned properly and was some damp

Breakfast great. Location good. Lumpy bed! Dinner disappointing but hats off to receptionist who gave us a goodwill gesture discount.

Crumpled dressing gowns, lumpy bed, constant drip from cistern! Undercooked frites 🙈

The open fire places, the quaint and comfortable feel

Stayed for 3 nights with elderly parents . When I contacted the hotel the lovely Zoe on reception happily confirmed a ground floor room with walking shower for them . All the staff including Jake and Jack could not have been more helpful . Bedrooms are comfortable and nicely designed . The log fires are lit all day in the lounge and bar areas and it’s super cozy . Food is excellent and nothing is too much trouble if you want to dine in the bar area or restaurant . A very short walk on to the Main Street in Burford .

Highly recommend. A beautiful pub with friendly staff. On a rainy Sunday the log fires were welcoming and Sunday lunch very good.

Lovely traditional place

Cosy and traditional inn. I love the vibe of the fireplaces in all the public rooms and the small pub area. The dining room is large and beautiful looking out on the courtyard. It’s nicely decorated. My room was comfortable although small but for one or two people it was plenty of room and well equipped. The staff really made my stay special. They were all friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Daily they put a note on your door with suggestions on fun things to do in the area and highlighting their sister properties to visit.
