Love Hotel Cielo!! We highly recommend staying at Hotel Cielo the next time you are in Playa. The perfect hotel for a romantic getaway. This is the third time my wife and I stayed at Cielo and we couldn’t be more happier with our stay. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean and have a true authentic feel of the area. It’s not just another typical hotel. A true gem that stands out. Thank you to the owners Steve and Alejandra for making our stay feel special. Again, we highly recommend this hotel!

excellent, the location is unbeatable the friendliness of the staff and their owners all very helpful, the room very clean and comfortable because you feel in Mexico all the details the delicious typical food. an excellent experience I recommend it.

Everything looked so good on the menu I couldn't decide what to order!! Another plus is that you get a discount for breakfast when staying with them! Everything is fresh and cooked to order. I love their restaurant Carboncitos! The rooms were extremely clean and well kept. The hotel is perfectly located to everything, especially the beach, and far enough away from all the hustle and bustle if you want peace and quiet at night. The owners are always there and ready to help you with anything, if needed. Great deal, great view, great staff, great service! I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant!

this is a beautiful hotel located right in center of town and a short walk to the beach. the hotel seems to be one of the few places that has maintained a traditional Mexican style, the rooms are very private spacious and the decor makes you feel like you are staying at high end spanish hacienda. The restaurant on the property Carboncitos, is by far the best we experienced in playa. The food is authentic mexican and yucatan dishes , just delicious with a staff that is amazing. our check in and hotel staff was attentive an accommodating. this place is a 10!

We had a quick one night stay at El Cielo Hotel since we were heading to Tulum the next day. We chose this place because of how close it was to the beach and the ADO station. We booked a little over a month in advance and received confirmation that we were good to go. Upon arrival the front desk couldn’t find our reservation. For a good 10 minutes we were going back and forth trying to figure out the issue. We showed him our confirmation email and booking number and were met with “ uhh. There is no reservation for you.”Even after showing him proof of the reservation. However, he was able to “find” us in the system some how..? He then notified us that our single bed room ground level room was unavailable and they only had a two bed room left.. After all that hassle as we were about to head to the room.. some other man pulls up and the front desk person starts chatting with him (seemed like friends?) for a good 5-7 mins. Leaving us just standing twiddling our thumbs. We had just been traveling all day and with the humidity and the hassle of the room situation I was just not in the mood for that. Now I wouldn’t say he was rude or impolite or anything, I just think customer service was off. Finally we get to our room- it’s cramped, obviously because of the now given two beds. We were also greeted with a huge dead cockroach... also the conplimentary continental breakfast is hardly that.. just toast and coffee/juice.. Would not recommend based on our experience.

The employees were good in talking nice etc, however it is equivalent to 1 star hotel in USA. The door lock is loose, it was traditional key instead of key card, its a small hotel, there were no windows for light and air circulation.. It is located in excellent location though
