AluaSoul Ibiza - Adults Only

My daughter and I came for a 4 night break in August. Check in was fine and quick ( 1 am in the morning) and the room was nice, overlooking the pool. We were all inclusive in a superior room I am an early riser so was surprised to see at 7am so many hotel guests, already out securing sunbeds. If you do not have access to the top area VIP, I could see why as by 11am it would be hard pushed to find loungers with an umbrella. I then decided to book the bali day beds at £30 a day for the remaining which was better for us. I thought the food was of a good standard. We both found something nice, although you may have to queue for some of the hot foods coming from the grill as they found it hard to keep up with demand. I am writing this review as I cannot help reading what seemed to be repeated for the month of August. There were at times extremely long queues at the pool bar. And I found the majority of staff serving not customer friendly and just basically rude. One particular member with the initial N looked like she could not be asked to even speak or make eye contact. Whilst in the queue she would eye roll and yawn at her team members. You were made to feel a nuisance when you asked for a coffee. Having said that the Bruno Mars show was excellent and we had a pleasant stay.

I booked this hotel for myself and my daughter as we had been before in 2015 and was really looking forward to another relaxing stay. Arrived late at night and the young man on Reception was very welcoming , food was provided and everything seemed great. Room was lovely, nice decor and clean. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. The food at lunch and dinner was not great, there was no variety in the choices, dry fish or chicken grilled, chips and pasta, all very bland . We ate out after trying this for a few days. The pool area was never cleaned or washed down and was dirty and dusty with discoloured old sun loungers and dirty tables. The pool area and food let this hotel down. It is in a fantastic position in a lovely resort , great staff and rooms . We enjoyed our stay but it could have been better.

Highly recommend a stay at the Alua Soul ,in a sea view superior room to appreciate the the sunrise. Great selection of food in the buffet restaurant. Staff very helpful, great pool options and loads of sunbeds.

I did have high hopes for this hotel as my mum had been last year and overall it was a little disappointing. Room and cleanliness: No issues with cleanliness or the room really, room was always cleaned and cleaners were polite. You are given two bottles of water each day in the room. Pool: Pool experience was the best thing about the hotel, it was clean and there were enough sunbeds. I found most of the sunbeds weren’t taken up until about 10 ish. Bar staff go round and you can order a drink from the sunbed which is nice or you can go up to the bar. Food: This has what brought my rating down a lot. I am coeliac, therefore, before my stay I notified the hotel by email and was told to notify staff when checked in which I did do. First day, I was taken round the buffet and told what was gluten free (eggs, bacon, quiche, beans, fruit and vegetables). There was nothing specially gluten free like cereal or pastries unfortunately. For lunch, I was brought out a baguette most times so I could have this with cheese on or something. Managing staff weren’t always around to show me what I could and couldn’t have which was frustrating at times and I’d say lunch was the hardest meal of the week. Sometimes on one or two occasions pizza or pasta would be made for me but very inconsistent. They did have gluten free desserts but it was the same everyday (almond cake and a brownie). There was yoghurts and mouses on the buffet too. Dinner was okay, again, mostly pretty limited as sometimes I couldn’t find someone to show me around and tell me, some food had allergen labels on but there were a few things like chocolate cake that had no symbols on which I highly doubt was gluten free so I didn’t eat it. Most nights, I was made specially pizza or carbonara which was nice but again there was nothing else and did get quite boring. So there were a few options and you won’t go hungry but not much choice at all and staff didn’t really go the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. One positive comment for one of the chefs, he made me a lovely carbonara on a few of the nights and he was so polite when he brought it out and was so proud and presented it well. One of the young male restaurant waiters also was lovely and smiley which was nice to see. Staff Overall, staff were okay. There were a few that were really lovely and went the extra mile like Ivan on the bar and the young man on the reception night shifts who was always polite and went out his way to get you what you needed. The rest didn’t really go the extra mile and some of the bar staff and reception staff were rude.

Entertainment disappointing and very loud Room lovely with sea view, efficient cleaning. Why is reserving sunbeds allowed? Buffet has huge choice- surely something for everyone.

I have never felt the need to write a bad review until this trip. We stayed for a week all inclusive booked through TUI and I do NOT feel it was worth the money and does not deserve to be a 4 star plus. 1. Food is terrible with little to no choice especially if you don’t like fish (90% of the options are fish). We had to eat out every evening and ate fries from the buffet for lunch. There’s no wifi by the pool or in the rooms. 2. No iron or ironing board available for 4 days. Staff are all generally very grumpy and not willing to help or accommodate anything. 3. There’s only one pool bar where you are guaranteed to be waiting at least 15 minutes in the queue every time you need a drink (considering the majority of the guests are all inclusive it’s obvious that the problem is not enough staff). The pool bar staff are hard working and some friendly. 4. The reception staff especially managers are so miserable, unhelpful and extremely rude. One manager in particular Yasmin had the worst attitude towards guests I have ever witnessed and other guests we spoke to would all comment the same thing. Everything was an inconvience to staff and they did not want to deal with any issues or complaints. 5. The double rooms are 2 single beds with single mattresses pushed together 6. Not once were our bed sheets changed in a whole week The two members of staff who made our experience more bearable were Juan and Valentina who were always so pleasant, friendly and keen to entertain guests around the pool and in the evenings. I recommend everyone to stay away

It was just tired. Loungers- plenty but uncomfortable. Doors, hinges, details tired. Not a 4 star. It served the purpose for a few hours around the pool. Staff was super nice

Had a great stay here staff were super friendly and helpful when it came to asking for information regarding the hotel or the surrounding area. We arrived quite late in the evening and was given a drink on arrival while checking in which was a nice gesture normally get stuff like that in super expensive resorts. Getting taxis to and from other areas of the island was easy enough the reception can sort one for you and they’re pretty quick. The room was nice and clean plus the bed sheets and towels were changed daily decent sized for just two anyway with plenty of hangers for clothing and cupboard space also had a small mini fridge which came in handy to store drinks in the room. The bathroom was super clean also and the shower had good power to it which was decent our view from the balcony was nice also overlooking the bay from the side on and out towards the coast head on. Overall our stay was great it’s a really nice hotel in a good location for a more chilled vibe of Ibiza there was no sunbed wars around the pool with it being adults only it always makes it more easier to get one no matter what time you head down to the pool. Plenty of places to eat and have a drink near by also Buah! Is great in the evening for drinks over looking the beach really nice vibe and Charlie’s bar is a good laugh with bingo tribute acts and karaoke on. We headed out to Ushuaïa on Friday Hï on Sunday which were both about a 30 minute taxi ride which was around €40 and over to San Antonio for the sunset that was around 45 minutes and about €50. Well worth checking out we also got the boat taxi to Ibiza town one way ticket was €23 I think took around an hour get some good views of the coast line. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who was looking for a nice blend of a chilled time in Ibiza but without being too far away from the superclubs.

We stayed here for 7 nights and had such a great experience. The staff are amazing – friendly, attentive, and clearly work very hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. The pool area had a very relaxed and chilled vibe, with some entertainment during the day and evening. No sun bed wars! The food and beverage options were excellent, with a wide variety to choose from, and the poolside service was a really nice touch. The location is perfect, right in the centre of Es Canar, with easy access to everything you need. We also loved how convenient it was to catch the ferry – we took trips to Ibiza Old Town and Formentera, which were both fantastic (highly recommend hiring bikes in Formentera to explore). Overall, a brilliant stay – would definitely recommend!
