The Roebuck Inn

Lovely pub/restaurant with lots of interesting touches!

The room was small but nice. Tv was very small for the room and the pillows were not very comfortable which led to a unrestful night sleep.

Fabulous pub, awesome staff and really great breakfast. The fresh milk and coffee were a nice touch.

The rooms are off the Carpark. The room doors open directly to the outside so there is limited privacy. Due to this, having gone to the room around 10pm, the evening departure from the pub goers meant it was very noisy and didn’t feel at all cosy. Then we were woken before 6am by an almighty clatter as the drinks delivery was carted across the gravel. The bedroom itself had a bizarre clothes rail alongside one side of the bed. Which limited access or we had to just put coats over a small chair. The bed itself was a standard double and we both felt we were gonna roll off the edges. For all these reasons, we didn’t have a good sleep which, for a cosy village pub, was disappointing.

Location, availability for food, parking availability, breakfast was very good. Staff were very pleasant and service in the pub/restaurant very good

Housekeeping left a lot be desired

Atmosphere was great. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Nothing everything was perfect. More than expected.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The Gambian Curry we had in the pub in the evening was excellent.

We stayed twice, the first time the pub where we ate breakfast was a little chilly.

The breakfast was delicious.

The shower curtain was filthy and mouldy! We didn't want to get in the shower because of it! The cafetiere hadn't been cleaned and still had coffee in it. The furniture was shabby.

Breakfast was very good. Generous. Rooms very clean with crisp white linen.

Dinner was good but spoilt by some local men, sitting at the bar, laughing and talking at the top of their voices throughout our meal. (Dining area open to bar area)

Breakfast was good but we had to wait. Staff pleasant and helpful. The location was very good for getting to Glyndebourne.

We have stayed before. Service at breakfast was a bit slow.

TV remote didn't work. Probably needed new batteries We went to breakfast at 8.50am having requested 9am breakfast, the pub was locked up and nobody opened up till 9.20. breakfast was ok when we finally got it.
