Good as ever

Adequate stay for me and six guests. Browns Restaurant closed. Pleasant rooms. Am I right to be slightly irked at having spent £1,300 on rooms and £200 on dinner that I get charged £1.50 for a tiny tube of toothpaste? Yes, I think so.

Nice hotel, excellent though inexperienced staff. We stayed one night and were attracted by the leisure facilities advertised. We only learnt that we would have to pay £15 for one hour to access the swimming pool each by email shortly before arriving. If we'd been staying longer we would've cancelled. We will not be back for this reason and therefore cannot recommend the hotel.

We booked a double lakeside view room. Lovely reception area, was nicely decorated for christmas. The room was lovely and clean with a fridge and 2 bottles of water and small bottle of milk. Their is a small selection of tea, coffee, pure herbal tea. It would have been nice to have more than just 1 hot chocolate sachet though. The bed was lovely and pillows are very soft. The view from the window was lovely. Their is a hotel tablet in the room with a few games on, internet access on and hotel information.

Loved our stay from start to finish, was our mini honeymoon due to covid restrictions we couldn't go to where we wanted to so found this little gem. Friendly staff throughout and restaurant and spa are a definite must visit whilst staying here. Thank you we will be back

Great hotel with excellent service and facilities

A lovely venue with comfortable rooms and a good restaurant. I used the Swimming Pool and my Wife the Spa

Disappointed. Won’t go back. Paid for a room with a view and got a room overlooking car park. Main lobby and restaurant area was cold. Brown’s restaurant was grubby with food and dust on banquettes. Waitress forgot about us after main course and wasn’t offered dessert until it was too late. Wife’s fillet steak was over cooked! Bath filled when using shower as plug mechanism was broken.

It is a nice hotel with good, facilities. They seem to be understaffed on reception and not know anything about other things in the hotel, like Xmas bookings. I didnt like the fact you had to pay to use the spa when staying in the hotel.
