Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, a Hilton Resort & Spa

This was the one of the most memorable vacations due to such a beautiful ocean view hotel. They sent an email which I could check in online ahead of time, but I chose not to. Checking in was breeze at the front desk. Mine was on the third floor and has a balcony. It was immaculate and no slow water draining issue at sinks or shower stall observed. Around the hotel is quiet and pleasant to take a walk or go jogging. This is not Embassy Suite and do not expect any free breakfast. Coffee is free, though, in the morning time. I used Hilton Vacation package deal for this hotel. Parking was not free. I definitely come back to this hotel.

The customer service was great. room wasn’t quite ready when I arrive around 445 had to wait a few but they figured it out. Little pricey when it comes to parking ($40 a night) to the point you actually consider weighting your options between renting a car or Uber/Lyft every where. Chandlers also had great customer service food and drink were really good no complaints other then I wish they were open a little longer.

The Cape Rey provided a relaxing atmosphere and quality amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was easy peasy. The guest rooms are comfortable and quiet. The property is well maintained and interiors are attractive. Looking forward to returning for another stay.

I enjoyed my stay immensely. The rooms were clean and spacious; the staff friendly and helpful; and the food was delicious.

The location is fantastic and staff were super friendly. I’d give it 5 stars but the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. I received a complimentary upgrade but when I arrived at the room there was a wine glass and plate outside my door. Then inside the room there were hair clips and popcorn next to and under the bed.

It was a nice hotel directly across the street from the ocean. It was great sitting outside by the pool and hearing the waves come in. The rooms were nice and the staff friendly and helpful. Their spa was amazing!!

The staff was great. The views were amazing, but the furniture in my room was dated and the drapery was a bit dusty. The sleeping rooms could a bit of an upgrade.

Very nice resort! Calming vibe, good outdoor spaces for restaurant and pool area. Really enjoyed the spa - twice! 2 things needed: EV charging and coffee shop/small breakfast items (without spending $25+ per person).

My wife and I spent a couple nights at Cape Rey and honestly, it was exactly what we needed. The vibe there is calm, laid-back, and just steps from the ocean — which made it easy to slow down and actually enjoy time together. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had that breezy coastal feel that makes you want to leave the windows open and just breathe for a while. We loved being able to walk out, wander the beach, grab coffee, explore the area, and then come back to a place that felt peaceful and relaxing. Nothing felt rushed or stressful. It was just a good space to reconnect, talk, laugh, and reset a bit. The staff was friendly, the property is beautiful, and the whole experience felt smooth and simple — which is exactly what we were hoping for. We’d go back again without hesitation. Great place for couples who want to get away, be near the water, and enjoy some quiet time together.

The staff was super friendly, and the hotel was just a short walk from the beach. Carlsbad Village was also pretty close to drive, and there were tons of cool shops to check out.
