Schweizerhof Zermatt

We arrived at the railway station in Zermatt quite late and found it dark, to discover a town wide power cut. Staff were very considerate and fortunately the hotel had its own emergency generator. My wife has limited mobility, and whilst she had to make her own way to the third floor, one of the reception staff carried our luggage up for us. Excellent room with view of the Matterhorn, fabulous breakfast, and close proximity to the railway station.

Just stayed here with my wife and we were very happy. Location is great, very close to the train station and Zermatt is such a small town you can walk everywhere so easily. Room was wonderful and spacious and the view of the Matterhorn was awesome. It was more expensive to get the king bed with a view but it was worth it. Provided breakfast was very good. Only concern I see could be the construction literally right next store to their hotel. It is currently down to rubble and I would imagine there could be some new build construction noise but not sure what will go there.

Lovely 1 night visit! Easy walk from train station. Despite the hustle & bustle of the main street, the hotel was a peaceful oasis! Reallyhigh quality beds, linens & other room amenities. The reception staff was exceptionally helpful!

What's not to like when you have a view to the Matterhorn from your balcony? Great location right on the main street of Zermatt. Just a few minutes from the train station where you can catch the Glacier Express. I'm sure the winter crowd fills the lounge areas on snowy evenings.

Very easy access to and from train stations. Comfort beddings. In-house restaurants provide delicious food.

This hotel was beautiful. They had lovely accommodations. The food was delicious. The staff was always so nice and communicated effectively even with the language barrier. Walking to wherever we wanted to go wasn’t a problem with the location of this hotel. We checked in early, however the room wasn’t ready so they held our bags. By the time we got to the room, they already had our luggage waiting on us. Overall, this trip was very nice and the staff was very nice as well.

I stayed here with my parents for one night to enjoy Zermatt. Location is as central as it can get Staff at reception, bar as well as at the breakfast was super attentive and friendly. Breakfast buffet does offer everything you can imagine and you can order egg dishes a la carte. I can only recommend this hotel.

Over all great place. Plus so close to the train stations

This is a beautiful, modern, recently renovated hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. We truly enjoyed our stay here, especially because of it's close proximity to the rail station and the main avenue. Great food in the restaurant and the morning buffet was excellantly done. We stayed at multiple 4-5 star hotels throughout our Italy-Switzerland trip and this hotel is a standout a.ongst them. We wouldn't hesitate to rebook here for our next trip back to Zermatt. Shoutouts to Pedro and the other staff as they were so nice and helpful throughout our entire stay. Thank you so much for everything and we look forward to seeing you again!
