Villa Kiva is just what I wanted after finishing my safari. It was a little oasis in Zanzibar on a quiet stretch of beach. I couldn't have been given a better room with a picture perfect view looking out to the turquoise blue of the ocean. The beach is great for walking but you will need to wait for the tide to come in for swimming. It's a quiet area but there are several other hotels located on the same stretch of beach, and if you walk the beach to the right you'll come to a small hut where you can buy a cold beer for 4000TZS. Rooms are comfortable and roomy with good wifi and a nice balcony overlooking the beach. Hotel is located in a quiet area and is best suited for someone looking to recharge and relax. The staff here are wonderful and little details like letting me keep me room until 3pm on my last day was much appreciated. I really enjoyed my stay here and as a solo traveler felt completely comfortable and relaxed which is just what I wanted. I'd return in a heartbeat!
This is total relaxation. Quiet, clean, comfortable and lots of food choices. If you are looking for a place to unwind and check out of work this is the place. If you want to work and need reliable internet find another place. Leave the world behind and get refreshed.

We truly LOVED our stay at Villa Kiva. We were blown away by the location of the resort as well as the fact that the pace slowed down for us to enjoy our relaxed time on the island. The room we stayed in was wonderful. The food was amazing and great value for money considering we come from South Africa and the resort is Dollar based. The staff are friendly and also allow you your own space at the resort to enjoy your valuable relaxed time without checking on you constantly. The managers are always on hand to help with anything you have top of mind and do it with a smile on their face and are always happy to help. We will definitely make this an annual retreat

Villa Kiva is a gem if you want an intimate, discreet experience in a small hotel. Food is great, staff super friendly and beach is gorgeous. This is great value for money and owner operated - it shows! We kite surfed and if your timing is spot on with late afternoon high tide you will have super experience. Recommended as a first world experience in Africa.
We had a wonderful time at Villa Keva, staff were very friendly, had a good choice of breakfast. Lunch & dinner menu was limited and a little expensive however the quality was good
I do not usually write reviews, but this time its a must!! Villa Kiva is a great place to stay. It has beautiful garden with 2 swimming pools and great restaurant .You can relax in the garden next to swimming pools or next to the beach - there is a lot of sunbeds. The room was great, with big double bed, clean bathroom with hot water and air condition. The staff was perfect - friendly, always smiling and ready to help. In a word-perfect!!!
The hotel is lovely and the team and the service was very welcoming and attentive, definitely will be back next year! :)
