Sphinx Aqua Park Beach Resort

The room is in a very bad condition ! When i m arrive i stay 2/3 houers for give a room ! In the reception the want to charge you for a good room but is a bad room ! I don t recomand this hotel ! We are a group about 24 person ! But nobody want to come back here ! It s so so bad ...... don t recomand !

Very nice hotel. I always come here. Like the beach and food. This time very nice girl in animation team Inna. She makes very good stretching in the morning and yoga in the afternoon. Also nice Manu kids animator. She interntains kids during the day and in the evening. And of course Olesya from the reseption is the best. Solves all the problems

I really liked the atmosphere, satisfied with a holiday and recommend this hotel to everyone. They also liked the workers, they are very sweet and welcoming. Every day we had different programs thanks to animators, they have a separate gratitude. The kitchen was also delicious, it was a very large choice. I and my friends liked the holiday, I will always choose your hotel. Thank you!!

The holiday turned out to be excellent, greatly exceeding expectations. The area is pleasant and cozy. The rooms are very comfortable. The cuisine changed and constantly pleased. Separately, I would like to note the very active work of the animators, they will not let you get bored at any time!

I am glad that I had the opportunity to travel to such a wonderful place where the animation team was extraordinary. From the enjoyable activities on the beach to the competitions they set up (where I even won a prize) it made me feel at home. Well done to you and keep it up. Together with you I managed to make my stay a pleasure and I will definitely come back thanks to you.

Disgusting, horrible, no free net. Staff friendly. Rooms old old, molded, dirty. Food repeative. Definitely NOT coming back. Place neglected badly. Cheap. Cheap. Nothing like the pictures in the internet at all. Aqua park sad looking..

Poor overall. Hotel was clean but very dated. Would have been 4 star about 15 years ago. Lobby too small for patrols. No seats available in the evenings. Food poor and repetitive throughout. No choice other than rice and chicken. All inclusive is very very poor value ~ alcohol was utterly undrinkable and live aviation fuel ; allowing them to charge extra for a drinkable beer or glass of wine. Money making exercise. Not a relaxing holiday at all. Beach and pool space was subject to constant harassment from spa / beauty salon / trips touts, who all just wanted money. All inclusive is a lie as everything was extra and tips expected for everything. As a solo female traveller felt constantly harassed and hounded to visit the on site shops / spa etc. total waste of money and not relaxing. But the on site dive company ‘be dive’ and hotel boat ‘Zayn’ were awesome - very professional with great diving and knowledge. The diving is the only positive and bonus of the hotel. The best member of staff is the Russian receptionist female (Olesika) who carried the whole team and is fabulous. 4 star is not accurate at all. Geared to Russians very heavily. Sphinx aspects of the hotel not open and folk packed into poor rated King Tut areas

Food: 5/10 If you are happy with rice, pasta, chicken then you'll be happy. The food was actually OK, but the choices were poor. Breakfast was the same each morning and personally I didn't try anything other than the fresh cooked omelette. I recommend taking up the option to eat at the Isis restaurant once during your stay as that was a nice meal. Drinks: 4/10 The all inclusive alcohol drinks were horrid. You can buy 'premium' drinks which are better though. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juices, water, soft drinks were OK. Accommodation: 4/10 Bed was uncomfortable and squeaked with every movement. Had a kettle and 2 mugs in the room, but no tea bags, coffee or milk? In desperate need of repairs and decorating/modernising. Never used the pool once as it was mostly in the shade. The private beach area is nice though and the water is clear to snorkel in. Room was cleaned daily and towels changed. Staff: Reception 1/10 - Every person I dealt with was so rude, never smiled and didn't make me feel welcome. They all seemed more interested in their mobiles than the guests. Restaurant 8/10 - Great friendly staff and always helpful. Beach 5/10 - Got hassled most of the time spent there. They really need to look at this as I heard many people complaining about people coming up trying to sell you stuff and not taking no for an answer. WiFi: 1/10 You only get free WiFi in the reception lobby or main restaurant, and it is poor. I had an 1Global eSIM which I used most of the time. You can buy 'fast WiFi' at a cost, which I think covers most areas of the hotel and beach. Entertainment: 2/10 Please, why do they have to blast music and shout on the mic when most people at the beach are trying to relax!!?? I get they are trying to get people involved in the many daytime activities they provide. But not all of us want to hear you doing Zumba, aqua aerobics, playing basketball etc. My opinion: 3/10 You get what you pay for. If you're after a cheap stay then it's OK. But £30 per night is tops for this hotel. There's not much to do locally in the evening, but as a suggestion the harbour is nice for a couple of nights out and cheap to get to by taxi.

Breakfast and Chinese dinner were really good.

For 5 stars hotel it should have better drinks,food and entertainment. Uncomfortable pillows.

Not for British people caters for Russians and Eastern Europeans Only had to stay one night as had to transfer to cruise The evening buffet was very poor,reception was overcrowded ,noisy and reminded me of a bus station Do not recommend much nicer hotels in Hurghada
