Beautiful staff, beach, clean rooms, nice continental breakfast, over all food was good. The beach bar was lovely but they need better tropical drink options. Main restaurant needs to made brighter.

Sandy Haven is a very gracious, appealing boutique hotel smack in the middle of Seven Mile Beach, Jamaica's finest beach. The hotel is small, quiet, clean, gracious, and well managed. It is steps from the beach, with ample public spaces: tables on the terrace overlooking the beach, pleasant waterfront bar, and adequate-sized (and clean) pool. The staff is pleasant and competent (special shoutout to Rowan, reservation manager, who provided expert help with all arrangements, such as taxis and restaurant reservations). Two suggestions: upgrade the continental breakfast, which is barely adequate; and hire more staff: the present staff is overworked, which inevitably means service delays.

We had a very nice beachfront view. Daily housekeeping and coffee provided every day. Free continental breakfast very basic with juice, coffee, bread and fruit. Only ate lunch there several times. 45-75 minute wait for food, but that’s the standard on the island. Be sure to check your bill every time before signing. They had our room number wrong twice and when checking out we had a $60 charge not belonging to us. Management corrected that. WiFi extremely slow and no cable TV. Overall a nice place, but not 4 stars. More like a 3

We arrived on New Year’s Eve. The resort had nothing going and the bar closed at 9 . No one mentioned that the restaurant on site was closed bongos. We had no TV for 3 days even though we told them on day one we got the run around. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and every morning at 5:30-6 it was loud due to staff. The only thing we did love was the beach . I don’t recommend this resort to anyone.

The staff was great! Our TV didn’t work, we asked about it and never got a response. There is no Wi Fi at this resort. The hot tub doesn’t work and looks like it has been broken for awhile. The pool didn't look like it was working. The restaurant Bongo’s never looked like it was open and the food was poor quality. The owner of this resort needs to fix and update this resort. Also i like to have room service and I didn’t feel like it was available and i wasn't sure what i would be getting. The water in the shower worked most of the time but the hot water didn't always work. This was the first time we booked for 2 weeks and we were very disappointed that these simple amenities weren’t working or available. Will not stay here again!

Liked the location and proximity to the beach.

Didn't like the room location and the hotel response to our requests. we asked to check in at 1 but there was no hotel response. So we stayed until after the check in time. We arrived at 5 PM and our room was still not ready. we waited for 45 minutes. We had asked for a peaceful beach view room with a balcony and we got a room on second floor that is 2 meters away from the air conditioning engine of the next hotel. We couldn't access the balcony because of the deafening noise. Plus, the room was full of mosquitos because the screen door leading to the balcony has no net. Greatly disappointing.
