"Mr Frosty!"

8.0

Staff helpful and friendly. Lovely room and food excellent. The only gripe was no heating in our room on arrival and it was freezing. Not switched on until approx 1 hour after our arrival. Same at breakfast, dining room had no heating on, also freezing. I would have settled for an increase in the room rate to fund the heating which is paramount at this time of the year. Please note as otherwise lovely venue.

"Ok for BnB but not for pub or restaurant."

8.0

Didn't realise the bathroom was separate and not ensuite which caused a few logistical problems of getting to it for a shower. Room above restaurant was noisey with kids running riot through the pub below but ok by the time I got back to the room in the evening. Pub is set up more as a restaurant but doesn't have the menu to match. Comfortable bed and good breakfast made up for any shortfalls.

A truly lovely pub with all the historic connections of Dickens' frequent stays. Unmodernised (in a good way), but with all the facilities you'd expect. Not a problem at all, but the bathroom to our bedroom was through a separate door off the main corridor of rooms. Lovely, friendly staff. The only shame was that we arrived later than last orders for dinner (at 7pm!), which seemed a bit early to close the kitchen on a Sunday. It may open longer on other days of the week.

"Charming stay at Cobham"

8.0

In the village where we were married The Leather Bottle lies in a lovely location. Cited as Charles Dickens's favourite Ale House which is also mentioned in his novel, Pickwick Papers.
