"Something different and fun"

8.0

Super fun experience for our family. Staff was very kind and attentive. Communal bonfire in the evening was nice too - lots of travelers bonding over smores. The location was amazing - truly spectacular day and night (the stars!).

There are a lot of tents on the property and they are arranged relatively close together so the sounds of people arriving later in the evening + dogs barking throughout the night made it hard to sleep. May have been bad luck for us or just a reality of camping.

"700 usd tenst should be more comfy : learn from tent camps in africa"

The staff is friendly but very poorly trained . When we arrived in the tent the gas was empty , The shower gel was empty , the tissue box was empty . When the tent is being prepared it should be checked.

"A great experience!"

9.0

Location is stunning, so tranquil and peaceful when you arrive! we stayed in a deluxe tent and was a great experience, tent very spacious and decor really high quality (for a tent!) the staff who checked us in were incredibly helpful and attentive. we had dinner at the restaurant which was great, then sat by the fires and had some wine and smores - so lovely!! We had a comfortable night's sleep and woke up to a beautiful sunrise, would stay again!

More just to highlight it is a tent, so expect it to be chilly overnight/when you wake up!! But we didn't mind that and kind of adds to the camping charm :) Only thing we didn't like was there were a lot of children screaming and running around which slightly detracts from the tranquillity, but that's not really the staff's fault!

"Unpleasant Surprises...Brrrrrrr"

6.0

BEWARE: The tents are NOT wired for electricity (110V). They provide you with small power bank to charge your USB devices (phone, watch, etc) and power a very VERY tiny fan (fits in the palm of your hand). You must swap out the power banks daily. For CPAPs, they have larger power banks good for about 5 to 6 hours. The only heat source is a wood stove that (due to the wood being supplied) will burn out in about 2-3 hours, requiring you to either 1) wake up add wood to it every couple hours or 2) freeze your face off. This could be partly remedied by supplying oak to burn, but that's not gonna happen. None of this would be a problem IF they clearly disclosed it on their website, but they don't! The sinks are way to small to use without making a mess. Be prepared to take a sailor's shower as all plumbing comes with spring-loaded knobs to prevent long running water. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of covers to keep your body warm, but with temperature swings of 40+ degrees (in July!), it gets VERY cold at night even if it's hot during the day. If the stove goes out, you'll wake up with frozen eyeballs. It appears the stovepipe is too small for the opening in the canvas it passes through OR a key piece of hardware is missing to completely seal the hole. There's not much point to having bug screens on the windows and doors when the horseflies and mosquitoes can fly right through the hole in the side of your tent. The reservation site made it look like we were reserving a yurt-style tent, but this was just a plain retangular tent. Not sure why that matters other than it just seems like one more think being misrepresented on their website. Oh, and the en suite toilet isn't exactly private. Think of the toilets you use in multi-stall public restrooms. These are nice normal toilets, but if you dread your partner hearing all of your bathroom noises, these are NOT the toilets for you. On a more positive note, the staff was absolutely a delight. Service, in that regard, was as expected given the price point of these accomodations. They could stand to have a greater variety of snacks and drinks available in the "lobby", but the overall vibe of the place is pretty cool. We saw many families enjoying themselves around the gas campfires, roasting marshmallows. If they could fix the heating issue, I would consider staying again, but otherwise, it's not worth the money.

""Glamping"--sort of..."

8.0

This place is well done. Great check in process with Montana Jim (but takes 20 mins to go through everything so be prepared). It's pretty much what you see in the pics is what you get. The good: if you want a "glamping-style" experience it is. The bad: it's really not very close to Yellowstone, it gets cold at night and the stove in the tent only handles 2 hours at a time, the hot water is only hot, the sink/shower in tent is very basic, the sky-gazer part of the tent has no shade and it gets very bright and very hot in the morning on your face, there's not much to do right at the camp. All in all, fun for 1 night but you better be the hearty-type and ready to keep yourself entertained while there.
