Hammetts Hotel

Excellent location right in the centre of Newport and by the water . Great design in rooms and common areas. Our room faced the main road but we didn’t hear the traffic noise.

For the price I would have expected some more amenities - at least a tea and coffee maker. We had to request our son‘s bed be made for him, it wasn’t down when we arrived. There’s no bar or dinner service though you are close to lots restaurants and pubs nearby.

Hotel was in a great central location to see and walk to everything. Our room was spacious, but the bathroom was kind of small. The hotel is relatively new, the decor was pretty modern with clean lines. Aesthetically pleasing..We had two negatives about our stay, one the gym is small. There was a day where it was hard to have more than four people in it. The second negative was one of our night cost $650, not sure if this hotel justifies that price, nice hotel , but not $650 night nice. We do recommend this hotel if cost was your second priority to location, and new hotel chic vibe.

I was disappointed the hotel did not have smart tvs, robes, or closets given the amount we paid; however, Carlos was extraordinary. He went above and beyond to make our trip great, facilitating a pizza party for us on a rainy night. I will come back again solely because of him.

The staff was very helpful and very friendly. The shopping and restaurants near by were amazing. Our room was very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel
