Grand Sunset Princess - All Inclusive

This is our third time here and we have to say our holiday experience was a solid 5 star rating. The renovations that were completed since 2024 are extensive. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and modern looking. The restaurants and bars completely upgraded. The addition of water slides and a children's water park was impressive. So much so we are already planning to bring our families including two grandchildren back next year. We ate at two al acarte (STEAK HOUSE & ITALIAN) and we highly recommend them. The fact that you can book a different dinning experience every night is amazing. We decided to eat at the buffet for the other nights and with so much variety it was hard to choose what to eat. Sushi was a favorite choice. There are two large pool areas. The vast pool complex made you feel that you had your own space. All kinds of nooks and areas if you wanted a quiet space. You can also immerse yourself in all the action with lots of entertainment. The bar servers were constantly brining you a wide variety of beverages. The beach - with the sargasm situation steadily getting worse (Carribean, Mexico) there is not a lot the workers could do to keep it clear. The employees were constantly trying to remove it. There was no real access to the ocean. Its almost like those days of walking along the shoreline in beautiful white sandy beaches are gone. Booking through Sunwing we felt we got an amazing deal compared to other 4-5 star resorts. We highly recommend this resort.

Buena comida y buenas instalaciones

El personal del check out quieren hacer cargos injustos inventando cosas o daños en la habitación par sacarle más dinero al huésped. Les recomiendo que hagan el check out en presencia del personal del hotel para que verifiquen que todo esté bien.

Me encanto el sitio. Sin duda quisiera volver de nuevo. Es un sitio agradable, con muchisimas actividades, pensaron en todo. Hay diversion para grandes y chicos, me encanto la Disco y la gran variedad decomidas. Todo delicioso. Tambien un punto a recalcar el la atencion del personal alli, todos demasiado amables, sin esperar propina a cambio.

Mejoraria tal vez el colchon y almohadas de la habitacion, son muy blanditas.

Bel endroit , belle chambre confortable, beaucoup de zones de baignade et repos, restaurants et buffets fonctionnels , accueillants et bien pourvus , personnel sympathique. Travaux récents réussis dans une grande partie de l'hôtel , nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille avec 2 chambres voisines

Amazing resort! Were are planning our next trip back. Great service from Rodolofo from the Rodizio restaurant.

I have never experienced anything like this in my life, and I travel often. I want to start by saying I love Mexico—this has nothing to do with the country itself, but everything to do with this specific resort and how we were treated. From the moment we arrived, the experience was hostile, unprofessional, and honestly disturbing. We were not allowed to check in properly, despite having a confirmed reservation. Instead of being welcomed like paying guests, we were repeatedly told to step aside every single time a white guest approached the front desk. This didn’t happen once or twice—it happened over and over again, to the point where it felt intentional and discriminatory. Things escalated quickly when the staff demanded that we pay for our room a second time, even though we had already paid. When we refused (rightfully so), their behavior became aggressive. Rather than resolving the issue like a normal hotel would, they treated us like we didn’t belong there. At one point, the situation became extremely alarming. Staff attempted to separate us from our children by trying to keep them inside the lobby while they pushed us out. As a parent, that was terrifying and completely unacceptable. No family should ever be put in that situation. It only got worse from there. Around twenty police officers were called and escorted us off the property as if we were criminals—simply because we stood our ground and refused to be charged twice. The level of escalation was completely unnecessary and felt targeted. To make matters even more disturbing, a staff member named Pablo Murillo was verbally abusive and even put his hands on my husband. The only reason the situation didn’t turn even worse is because we were in a foreign country and chose to remain calm despite being provoked. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life—and the worst experience I’ve ever had in Mexico. The way we were treated was degrading, stressful, and unacceptable on every level. I would never recommend this resort to anyone. The environment felt low-class, chaotic, and completely lacking in professionalism or basic human respect. There are far too many beautiful, welcoming places in Mexico to ever risk staying somewhere like this. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
