Mercure Newport Hotel

Everything was excellent 🙂

The room was clean and fresh. A wonderful night's sleep and comfortable bed. We were meeting family for a meal locally and got back to the hotel at 10.20. We went to have a drink at the bar only to be told it was closing at 10.30 and we would need to leave by 11.00 pm. Such a shame as l thought residents would have the option to enjoy a drink for a little bit later. Breakfast was ok, lots of choices and we enjoyed.

I liked the seamless check in and check out process. I also liked the body, shampoo & hand wash & the perfect nights sleep in the very comfortable bed. I felt safe with the camera in the lift and the scanning of your room card to activate the lift. Sitting in the sun in the roof top bar was wonderful and when I ordered my evening meal it arrived in a short space of time and was very tasty. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wonderful hotel, staff very friendly and happy to help

I was actually super impressed with the hotel, room and time spent at the hotel on my recent stay. And I can confidently say that I’ll be back to stay here in the future. Close to both the station and town it’s perfectly located. I had a great view as well. And the room was clean and comfortable. The friendliness of the staff was also great. In terms of improvement I would suggest putting chains on the doors. I understand that the door is secure and can be locked from the inside. But there’s a psychological component of a physical chain that feels more secure. I’d also love some veggie options included in the breakfast. Some veggie sausages and mushrooms would be a great addition.

Was a really good hotel for the price. Staff were lovely and friendly, especially the young lady in housekeeping.

Recently stayed here when attending Comic Con at the convention centre. Ideal location and only a short walk from the train station. The room was comfortable and we had a nice view of the river. Saturday morning breakfast service was very busy and Sunday was not so busy.. Nathan seated us on both occasions and had great customer service. He dealt with the busy Saturday service really well and is a credit to you. Would stay again.
