"We can't wait to come back!"

10.0

From the moment we arrived this lovely hotel exceeded expectations. The staff was delightful, helpful, full of information and welcoming. The service was exceptional. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The lighting was excellent and the bed very comfortable. The location was perfect - a short 10 minute walk along the water into the center of Chania, so we were able to enjoy the many restaurant options along the water by the hotel or walk into the old part of Chania. We also walked in a couple times for really fun shopping! The room was very clean and the bathrooms were wonderful! While we didn't take advantage of the in-room jacuzzi we loved the shower with two rainforest shower heads. We did love the jacuzzi on top of the hotel. What a view! This makes up for there not being a pool on site. The hotel location and rooms are exceedingly quiet and we both slept like babies! The breakfasts were delicious- creative and we ordered off a menu - no buffet. This hotel is a great value and we can't wait to come back! Again, I can't say enough about how great the staff are!

"All great: location, property, staff, breakfast"

10.0

From the time we arrived trough the departing to the airport at 3:30 in the morning - all the staff was very friendly and helpful. We want especially to call out and thank administrators Josip and Sophia. A cleaning lady Irina did a superb job too. Location, quality and condition of the property are great. Breakfast was excellent.

"Lovely Stay"

Lovely stylish hotel on the coast but only a 10 minute walk to the old town. Really modern & big room with a lovely balcony and a partial sea view. The a la carte breakfast is excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

"Great Stay with a Few Inconveniences"

8.0

Location The location is excellent for visitors who want easy access to the Old Town of Chania, about a 10-minute walk. It’s less of a beach resort and more of a city-accessible boutique hotel, which we really liked. Even better, it’s an adults-only property that keeps the atmosphere peaceful and relaxing, perfect for couples or travelers looking for a quiet stay. The hotel sits in a residential area, so while it’s convenient, the surroundings aren’t particularly scenic. Some nearby homes are a bit run down, and from our balcony we could see neighboring patios with laundry hanging out to dry. It feels more like a local neighborhood than a resort zone. There’s no direct beach access, but the hotel has a designated beach area about a 3- to 5-minute walk downhill, and uphill on the way back. The beach itself was calm and pleasant, although we chose to visit other beaches around Crete. One small drawback is that you have to reserve the hotel’s umbrellas and chairs a day in advance and give them a specific time slot, which makes spontaneous beach visits difficult. The hotel does provide a beach bag and two towels for guests, which is a nice touch. Rooms We stayed in two different rooms because of availability. The first one overlooked the back of another building with a small courtyard-style view. The second had a partial sea view, but it was mostly blocked by older buildings and rooftops. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable but not overly luxurious. They have touch-screen controls for lights and blinds, and the bathrooms feature two showerheads with good water pressure. Housekeeping came daily to make the bed and replace towels, though it would have been nice to have a few more. Noise was not a problem, but we travel with a sound machine just in case. Gym, Sauna and Whirlpool The gym was one of our biggest frustrations. It’s small but well kept, located on the fifth floor with a nice view of the sea. The biggest issue was the limited hours since it’s only open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For guests who like to work out early in the morning or later in the evening, this schedule is very restrictive. The gym has one bench, a set of free weights, a cable machine that works for rows and lat pulls, attachments for chest, shoulder, and hamstring exercises, one treadmill, one stationary bike, and one ski machine. You have to check out a key from the front desk each time you want to use it, and they ask you to return it right after. The hours are probably limited because the restaurant shares the same floor or because of noise concerns for the room below. You actually walk through the restaurant area to reach the gym. The sauna and whirlpool follow the same limited hours, which made them just as inconvenient to use. Parking Parking is complimentary and handled valet style. You pull up to the front of the hotel and staff park your car on nearby streets. Because the area has one-way roads, it’s best to call ahead when you need your car. It sometimes took 10 to 15 minutes for ours to be brought back. Breakfast Breakfast is a sit-down à la carte service rather than buffet style. You’re seated and given a menu, and staff bring a bread and pastry cart around for you to choose from. The hot dishes were freshly made and delicious. The Cretan yogurt was incredible — rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The only downside was that by around 9:30 a.m., some pastries were already gone even though breakfast runs until 10:30. Staff just said they were finished, which was disappointing for a hotel of this level. The plated format feels more upscale but it’s slower and less flexible. You can’t really control portion sizes or toppings like honey yourself. Staff and Service The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and attentive. They were quick to help and always polite. At checkout, the hotel gave us a bottle of local olive oil as a farewell gift. It’s a lovely gesture, though not ideal for travelers with carry-on bags due to liquid limits. In summary Pros: • Adults-only hotel with a quiet, relaxing atmosphere • Excellent location within walking distance of Old Town Chania • Clean, modern rooms with thoughtful amenities • Friendly and attentive staff • Delicious made-to-order breakfast • Complimentary valet-style parking Cons: • Gym and sauna only open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. • Gym is small and requires checking out a key each time • Beach area must be reserved in advance • Surrounding neighborhood is more residential and not very scenic • Some breakfast items run out before the end of service

"Amazing stay"

10.0

We have just ended a week at the Chania Flair hotel and had an amazing time. Thank you Christos, to you and your team. You were so warm, friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling white wine and then had complimentary Raki and sweet treats in the room too. The hotel is a short walk away from old town and offer free sun beds just around the corner. Breakfasts were well prepared and delicious. Our five course evening meal was reasonably priced and the best meal we had all week. We hope to see you again next year.
