Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile

I have stayed at the Cottages at Best Friends for years - it's my annual get-a-way! It is a wonderful environment - it's quiet, the sky is dark - you can see ALL the stars, and you have peace and quiet. I enjoy the entire property - both the upper canyon and the lower canyon. It is a place to go if you simply want to get away or you can volunteer and help out a fantastic organization. The Best Friends Roadhouse is in town. I always stop there to check out the gift store but I have not stayed there. I have no doubt you would have a fantastic experience there - it is very animal friendly!

The absolute best place to stay with dogs or pets. They have thought of every detail - dog bowls and pet beds and the most amazing dog park with a splash pad, tennis balls for fetching and a pet spa! The dogs felt right at home. The accommodations for people were purr-fect as well! Room was spacious, loved the layout, and the view of the beautiful landscape was terrific. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. We made friends with the barista in the cafe, the groundkeeper and the front desk. Everyone was so pleasant and kind and wanted to make our stay the best it could be. I could live here! Also just a couple of blocks from Ravens. Heart Art Gallery which is a must visit! And Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is just 5 minutes away!

Perfect stay when traveling with your pet. Dingo had such a great time in the dog park!

Love the whole animal theme. Good value. Delicious cookies. We keep coming back here. Great food in town, location is great. Clean rooms, cute welcome signs.

Staff needs to learn customer service skills. Not welcoming, not even a greeting. Breakfast could improve.

The roadhouse is so nice. It's clean, cozy and spacious. Offers continental breakfast, the muffins are really good!! The grounds are pretty and great for your fur babies. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again!!

Amazing staff, amenities, and rooms—-perfect if you have a pet or if you don’t. Staff was exceptional in making my stay comfortable, and amenities like laundry, daily breakfast, and a cafe to grab snacks was awesome. I would only stay here in Kanab!

Chelsea greeted us with warmth and kindness at our arrival. We were so surprised by her assistance with getting the two largest crates for our mastiff puppies (5 months old and 95 lbs each!). She brought them to our room and even set them up for us! Having travelled all day we were so grateful! We also loved the special touches for the dogs. Cleanliness and care everywhere! We’re staying again on our way back!
