Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile

I’m scared to share-I don’t want to exploit the area! Absolutely phenomenal animals to play with people that are amazing and brought our souls to the caring nurturing place we love to be as a family of teenage girls!

The roadhouse I would HIGHLY recommend!! You can bring your animals, the place was very modern, updated, and nice. There room was clean which is big for me in a place that accepts pets. There’s no smell, the have pull out bed, and bowls. They cater your animal as part of your family! I will absolutely come back.

We have stayed twice at the Roadhouse (once with our dog and once without) and both were great experiences! Never have we experienced such a pet friendly place- all bases have been covered from the dog bowls in our room, to the specialized sign for our pup, to the pull out dog bed, to the dog spa, to the two dog park, etc! We are here on a holiday this time and Michael, who runs the cafe, has been an absolute joy! This is THE best place to stay in Kanab!

The location was superb. I had a great time with the horses and dog area. Violet and I had a nice car ride and walk. I enjoyed the tours as well. The internet is a bit of a drag. It is like dial-up The experience totally over rides the internet. There is soooo much more.

Wonderful RV facilities . L evel, paved sites, picnic tables, fire pits with lots of spacing between sites. Great shower facilities...they even include toiletries. Far enough from the highway for quiet and great canyon views. Big plus....friendly, helpful staff.

Best Friends Roadhouse is a great place to stay if you are visiting Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. It is a short drive away and you can have furry guests from the Sanctuary spend the night with you. You own furry family members can stay there as well. The room is comfortable and clean. You get a vegan breakfast along with the room -- try the egg bites which are not made of eggs at all! Be prepared to be tempted by the great Best Friends merchandise that they sell at the Mercantile. You'll meet great people at the Roadhouse who are volunteering at the Sanctuary. You can do shifts with dogs, cats, bunnies, pigs, horses, birds and more. Be sure to have the $5 vegan buffet lunch at the Cafe at the Sanctuary. The view from there is spectacular.

Great base for so many beutiful Hikes with my Dog. My dog and I were comfortable and able to ealiy relax after long days on the trails.

We were in adjoining rooms - 210 and 212. The even numbered rooms are in the back further from the road and perhaps a bit more quiet. The only rooms that are adjoining are only 2 bed queen std and king suite rooms. The king suite room is wider than the std 2 bed queen and hence larger. Both rooms had mini-fridge and microwave. The king suite also had a sink, some dishes and a table and 3 chairs. Some things that I loved about our stay: there are air cleaners in the rooms, we got coupons for free lunch at Angel Village Cafe at Best Friends, the room was super clean, all employees were friendly and helpful, there is a fenced in yard for your puppies behind the hotel.
