Suites Tulum

I would consider it a good value for the price of the stay. Small inconveniences that we had during our stay are probably shared by most other hotels in the area. - Water: From what we later researched, only the more expensive hotels get fresh water by water tankers daily, while others (like Suites Tulum) get their water from groundwater (which is moderately salty). However, they do provide drinking water in gallons on all floors. - Facilities: Generally clean and well maintained within what would be expected for the price. There is a shared kitchen area that has a induction cook top, some kitchen utensils, and cutlery. There is a very nice deck on the last floor with a beautiful view to the surrounding jungle where we had breakfast every day. - Beach: the hotel is right across the street from the beach and has an agreement with one of the beach clubs, which allows free and very easy access (public access to the beach is inexistent without going through a beach club, a shameful practice allowed by local government), although chairs and umbrellas are not included. The beach itself is magnificent. - Room: The room is correctly depicted in the profile photos. We enjoyed the view to outside jungle (the hotel is surrounded by trees). Air conditioning was great and was available 24/7 (unlike what we read from some other hotels, that only provide air conditioning during specific periods of the day). - Location: we were satisfied with the location. Traffic is plain and simply insane in Tulum during peak hours, which must be accounted for when picking your hotel. During peak hours, using a car or taxi is impossible (1 hour to go 1.5km, literally). The hotel is about 1.5 to 2km south from where the most partying was going on. We decided to walk, which was relatively easy and took 20 - 30 minutes.

We had no problems with bugs/insects, but a scorpion casually walked in one day. Tulum is surrounded by jungle, so i suppose that can happen. However, the hotel should consider sealing the bedrooms better (our visitor came from beneath the bedroom door).

Suites Tulum is beach front located on the quiet side of the hotel area, but in walking distance to the frenetic night life the best Tulum has to offer (Bonboniere, Vagalume etc…you name it!). Our room is spacious and spotless, Tulum-ly decorated, bed and pillows are very comfortable, we have a balcony facing the swimming pool. We love the greenery in the entire hotel, it adds a secluded and serene feel to it, this is very important for us to rest after a night out. The roof has a pool, kitchen, a lot of beanbags and a huge sun bed overlooking the endless Mayan jungle, the best place in Tulum to watch the sunset (go up around 6h30 PM, it’s spectacular!). We were nicely greeted by Nico, he is very friendly and helpful. We got free access during our entire stay to the beach club right in front of the hotel. (access to the beach is quite a hassle in Tulum as many places require a minimum spend, even you just want to walk on the beach). This is a big plus! This part of the beach is as beautiful as Playa Maya, a second-to-none beach experience in the entire Riviera Maya! The Loco restaurant in the hotel is also amazing! The risotto is delicious, the bar is very nice and music is not too loud so that we can have a conversation without yelling. We will definitely come back

The room was gorgeous and had everything you could need! Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, hot water we’re available 24/7 (I know some reviews say differently this wasn’t our experience) the bed was super comfortable with extra blankets in the room if you needed - reading the reviews before coming made us apprehensive but everything was so perfect! Ivo and Nicholas are so helpful and only a WhatsApp away if you need anything! It’s literally 2 minutes from the beach and they have an agreement with the beach club over the road so you can get free access! It’s a gorgeous little place and amazing value for money! Loco restaurant next to the property is also great highly recommend eating there if you get chance!

The space of the suite and storage drawers are a win. I wish I had stayed with Suites Tulum a little longer. But all good things come to an end. The staff were always helpful and had a solution for everything. I accidentally locked our passports in the safety deposit box and couldn't open it, oh and there was no key. However, Ivo made sure that was seen to. It was like breaking into a huge safe but they did it. Nico who I met later was super helpful with what to do upon arrival. They personally text you on WhatsApp and you feel heard as an individual! In conclusion, very personable Service. Would definitely stay again.

Suites.does not have direct beach access but you will be sent to anothe boutique hotel across the street. Didn't care for the beach access area. Not an inviting area to Make one want to spend 😕... they (Ether) need to make their beach front more appealing.

Location was great and staff very helpful

Leaks in the room, stained clothes - although Nico did sort this and get cleaned.

Nice remote location, good facilities, nice views. It was nice being a bit out of the party zone. Very relaxing.

No lights on the roof so couldn't sit there. Room smelled of damp. Completely cold showers all the time. Salty water in shower and all taps.
