This was our last stop before going home and our third Princess lodge on the tour. It was my least favorite. The lobby is small, crowded with not enough seating. The restaurant is dark with a menu that had grown tiresome and didn’t change. The room was OK. Front desk not very helpful. Best part was the outside. Deck was great. You could have drinks, food or just enjoy the views. The walk around the hotel was also really nice. There are beautiful gardens. The hotel is really not located close to anything but it was a short Uber ride to Museum of the North at University of Alaska Fairbanks which was very cool!
Cons: Our room was not ready when we checked in at 4pm. Desk staff were unhelpful from the start. They gave us our keys and didn’t give any instructions or directions until we obviously looked lost in the lobby. I requested a king bed 3 months prior to our trip and it wasn’t fulfilled. We ended up sleeping in separate full size beds. TV has terrible lines running through it no matter what channel it was on. Pros: Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

A staff member knocked on my door and woke me up at 8:00 am to ask me what time I was checking out, despite checkout time being at 11:00am. They are also very geared towards Princess Cruise line guests; if you’re not part of a cruise package then you don’t get some of the things their website offers, like airport shuttle.
Very clean, quiet and nice trails in the woods as well as along the river. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good service in all areas.
If you are not with a tour group = Princess/ this is a very weird place to stay. But it has great amenities (shop/restaurant/coffee bar), river side walk and is so convenient to the airport. The staff tried to be nice but if you had to deal with cruise/tour group people as a rule, you might be testy. If you want to experience real Fairbanks, stay downtown or over by the WalMart. I’ve stayed at many different places there over the years and don’t need to go back to the Princess Lodge- and they don’t really want me.
I appreciated the opportunity for a stay at the last minute. The staff were really responsive and excellent-- particular kudos go out to the front desk and tour desk folks. Very very helpful and friendly. the grounds and location are also beautiful. As this is a location for cruise transfers, you should know it feels a little like a train station. The health club was closed, with no notice until you walked downstairs. I checked out early due to a change in plans, and they were having trouble finding my foliio. In the middle the manager came up and acted as if I was asking for a refund for the final night, which I was not. You should also know there is no housekeeping service at all unless you ask for it. But with these criticisms, it was a comfortable and nice place to land. Also if you are booking on expedia, check before you finalize to see if there are any specials if you book direct. They had a 50 percent off second night that I could not get with my expedia booking. I recommend.
