American Inn Ozark

Nicest motel I've ever stayed at. Very reasonable rates. They offer breakfast. If you miss the times for the breakfast, they still have coffee, tea, juices, and cereals available. They are very clean. People who work there are very polite and accommodating. Right next to a super cheap gas station. Was 1.87/gallon while i was there. Showers super nice and clean. Bed sheets had no stains, very fresh.

I’ve never left a review anywhere: reception was horrible. Cannot recommend this place to anyone.

We drove 20 miles out of our way because they accepted pets and didn't have a dog size limit. Their pet charge was $15 which was more reasonable than most. When we arrived they said that it was $20 and that Expedia had not kept up with the change, but their registration form still said $15. The employee marked through it and wrote in $20 as I watched. That was pretty annoying since the pet policy was the only reason that we chose the place. The walls transmitted noise from other rooms which made sleep difficult but they did include breakfast and their price was very reasonable so overall rating is OK.

Avoid this Hotel!! TV didn't work, door didn't lock, 1/2 of a smoke detector...bed were very old.. old hotel. I asked Orbitz for my money back and customer service called the hotel but the Owner yelled at her also... never got my money back. He said I didn't qualify for a decent room because I booked thru Orbitz! I thought going thru Orbitz that if I had an issue something could be done about it... I will never use this booking site again.

The hotel clerk is by far, the absolute most rudest hotel employee we've EVER met in more than 40 years of traveling! He should NOT be allowed to work in the "hospitality industry!" NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE! IF THERE WERE A "NEGATIVE 10," THIS HOTEL WORLD RECIEVE IT!

The best way to describe what greeted us as arrived at this hotel is it was a block party of shifty and shady crackheads. The parking lot had lots of people wheeling a dealing and partying. It felt super unsafe. I was glad we had a very menacing looking guy with us when we arrived.

Reserved a room several weeks in advance but when I arrived, the desk clerk told me my room was not available. When I politely asked why my room was given away, the clerk became agitated almost immediately; stating, "You want me to go wake the people up and kick them out of the room?!" I replied, "That's not what I asked. I asked why you gave the room I reserved to someone else," to which, he responded by scribbling over my reservation and yelling, "I'm not gonna kick people out of their room, so you can leave. There's the door!" I was floored at this belligerent, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional behavior. I had done nothing to provoke this man. I asked a single question and he flew off the handle. After I finally got him to answer my question, he offered me the king suite. This was still the cheapest option in the area on such short notice but at that point, I had no desire to give this motel any of my money. I politely declined and stayed at the hotel across the street. Beware that if you reserve a room at this motel and do not arrive before 11 PM, they will give your room away without notice. Further, I would not expect to receive any courtesy or professionalism from the staff based on my interaction. That man obviously needs anger management and should not be in a position where he has to interact with people.

Booked a smoking room and was told our room was smoking but door showed NON-SMOKING complete with ashtray. NO SMOKE DETECTOR!!! Two beds and only enough towels for 1 person. Comforter and sheet on bed...NO blanket!
