Hotel is old & outdated. Reserved a 1 Queen bed non smoking room, wound up with a 2 Double beds non smoking room. Showerhead is the height for a 10 year old, bedding is old and needs replaced. Had 2 small bars of soap in room, no shampoo, kleenex and barely any towels. Next time will drive the 10 miles to Springfield and stay somewhere there.
I know bugs are hard to avoid but there were centipedes and a spider on one of the pillows in the bed...clean sheets but don't think comforter had been washed in awhile.
If your not concerned about cleanliness, customer service, breakfast, or honesty, this hotel is for you!! Good Luck!
Non smoking rooms smell like cigarette smokes. No shampoo.
The gentleman I checked in with was great, what I believe was the owner the second day was not pleasant at all... I got charged double what we promised online, room, filthy, cockroaches all over, no breakfast at all, beds was old broke down smelly stained bug untested grossness. Do not stay here!!
The older gentleman working the desk was rude and hostile after i left my first negative review and called me to actually harass me hrs after we left hotel
The owner is a lil grumpy. If u reserve online u have to stay on second floor, no parking next to building.
Booked thru Hotels.com and they would not honor the price. We'd agreed to the pet fee but when we got there were told there were "pet rooms" and charged us more. Guy on phone was not nice. Hotels.com tried t help.
We booked on Expedia and arrived around noon - check-in time was 3 pm. Was told that if we had booked the room directly, we could check in early. He said we were "Expedia's customers not his." It was obvious he did not like us booking Expedia. We would have to wait until 3 pm. Then he caught us before we left and said that for $15 more, we could get a king room right away. So we took it. We booked for $61.49 on Expedia but ended up paying $96.49. When I inquired why it was so much, I was told that we were charged an early access fee of $20.00. He did not tell us this at the time or we would not have checked in early. The room was not worth what we paid. We checked out the "breakfast" but left and went somewhere else to eat. It was very skimpy. There were four people sitting there when we came in and he was bringing 2 bananas and 2 muffins. There was some cereal and regular coffee, no decaf. Not a good experience. Will never stay here again.
The hotel owner was bad from the get go very rude gave us a room no phone no inner door lock no wifii bugs in bathroom tub smelled really bad. Refused to give us another room with a inner door lock and a discount because of all the stuff wrong told him i would be checking out before my 3 days where up because of this and he said we are paying for all 3 days even though his place was crappy. We stayed 2 days and i asked again for a room with inner door lock he said he had no other rooms i could have but he had open rooms. When i turned in my keys said he was going to put a lean on my car and house for a bad review of his hotel. I told him i was leaving gave him his room keys and he started swearing at me telling me to get the f### of his property and i go to my car to find i have 2 Screws in my brand new tires i just bought worst place ever for an american inn this owner should not be in this chain of hotels.
