Moxy Oakland Uptown

The room was ok, the staff were nice.

The elevator was out of order when I arrived and I had to walk up 7 flights of stairs, with my bags. The toilet was clogged when I arrived in the room. The water pressure and temp were not great, air conditioning was blasting cold and I couldn't figure out how to adjust, so the bathroom was freezing, bad water pressure and not very hot water was not great. Hotel lists food options for breakfast and a full bar. There were no food options which was not great as there aren't a ton of place really close to grab something in the morning, and the neighborhood is a little rough to be wandering around looking like a tourist trying to find coffee and something to eat. The bar is definitley not full, they had 1 wine option and no beers on tap, no coffee options.

The property is very much a representation of the Oakland arts and music culture, with the main lobby doubling as a bar and lounge.

Great location to the Paramount theater where we could easily walk to and from the show.

There was no breakfast and no coffee either. Had to go elsewhere. Was unaware that there was no parking included with the room and we had to pay 47 to park.

They need to fix the elevator... 1/2 was inoperable.
