Disliked everything except location

It is advertised as FREE PARKING yet despite following the detailed instruction on how and where to park, including send my Reg and car make and model, I still received a Parking Charge Notice for having “no permit displayed” despite being told I wouldn’t need one. I challenged this with the property letting company, W B Property Management and gave them written consent to appeal it for me, however, I have just received a further demand from Minster Bay Watch who are demanding £155 or court action. Despite being told by W B Property Management that I would be informed of the progress of the appeal, I heard nothing and now they are not able to be contacted despite phone calls, messages and e-mails. Minster Bay Watch will not correspond with me at all just sending automated e-mail responses saying I am unable to appeal or correspond, pay the charge. I am disgusted with how this has been handled, to anyone who is thinking of booking here, don’t, avoid it like the plague.

Superb location, really well-equipped, extremely well kept with lovely decor and very comfortable bed!

The apartment was gorgeous clean and everything you could ask for. It was in centre of York and owners were amazing and helpful.

Couldn’t get a more perfect location for exploring York. Everything in walking distance and added parking made it even better. Host was very quick to respond when needed.

Not the cleanest. Definitely needs a bit of tlc. Shower doesn’t stay hot for very long at all whether you have showers in the morning or evening makes no difference. Poor lighting in the kitchen.

Good location

Wasn’t massively clean. The stairs weren’t mentioned and didn’t feel massively secure, especially when going up and down in the dark

Location was spot on, and I couldn't be in a better position amongst everything you need. The Shambles was only a couple of minutes walk away. The apartment was much bigger than we expected, facilities were perfect for us. Communication and instructions were excellent. This is the best place to stay to pack in as much as you want for a short stay in York.

The stairs were very narrow and a little bit shakey going up and down inside the apartment, so they may not be suitable for certain people. The car park space was exactly as advised, several minute walk, which was a little inconvenient due to carrying bags from the car but is what it is. Also where the car was parked, the spaces are a little tight so when we came back to park after visiting the Air Museum, there was a large car parked next to our allocated space which did make it difficult to park as they parked over the lines but there is nothing anyone can do to prevent this, just worth noting if you have a big car.

nice apartment with everything you need plus loads to eat,see and do nearby. Free parking (a short walk away) was a bonus. Great communications with host re parking and late check out.

There is a spiral staircase down to the bedroom which may not suit everyone.
