The spaciousness , location, and appointment of the flaf is fabulous. By the promenade, overlooking the harbour and just a short stroll up the road to the Doumo. So glad we chose Ortigia.. It was a great flat to share for a group friends who wanted separate bedroom.

There are shortcomings when a property is managed from afar. This company's helpdesk is in Milan. I spent more than 2 hrs in the stairwell trying to get in, not being able to open the lock! I had to send a video of how I tried to open it and got a long explanation back on how to turn a key. It was getting dark, the light in the stairwell went out every 2 min. After 2.5 hrs, the local supervisor turned up and told me I was trying to get into the wrong flat! This could all have been avoided if the front doors were clearly marked for identification. Now, it was only the door that I tried to open that had a company sticker. Instead of asking locked out customers to send videos to Milan, the company could hold photographs of the key plate on file. These are the perils of long-distance management!

The view was amazing. The decor was lovely.

If you have a vehicle the parking is very difficult.

- The apartment is stylishly decorated. - Lovely setting on a cute street. - Gorgeous views of the sea and port from the balcony! - Plenty of toilets and showers for 5 guests - Spacious and didn't feel cramped even with 5 guests - There is an upright piano in the lounge! - Quick wifi

- No salt, pepper, oven gloves, dishwasher tablets, placemats or tea towels were provided. These are essential items for an apartment with a full kitchen and washing machine, especially when staying for a week. - Only ONE glass tumbler was provided. There were five guests, this was obviously substandard. I complained about this to Wonderful Italy and was told they would deal with it, but nothing was done. We ended up having to buy plastic tumblers. - The apartment building was loud - there is a machine next to the front door of the building that vibrates very loudly on and off throughout the day and night. It can be hear very clearly in the ensuite bedroom. There were also building works ongoing throughout our stay in the building. - We experienced several powercuts during our stay when we used the extractor fan alongside the hob. We were able to reset the switches downstairs in the main building's entrance ourselves. However, it was not reassuring to learn that Wonderful Italy's customer services team is only available until 8pm. What if a guest has an emergency after hours?

A great apartment, lovely view, great location. However, there was a water pump that made a loud whirring noise for c. 7-8 seconds every 50 seconds. This made sleeping nearly impossible. The property management company did not answer their helpline or respond to messages. The ‘sofa bed’ in the 3rd room is very uncomfortable so don’t plan on using it as a bed.

We liked everything: the house is spacious, very functional and a nice blend of modern and antique. And the location is absolutely amazing...

The property was very well located and the apartment was spacious and clean.

Amenities were lacking. Bare minimum in kitchen. Not even a tea towel. Bed room set up strange. We arrived to a stuffy humid apt and then had to argue with staff to get a second set of keys to leave the AC on.

Not clean, squeaky bed, irresponsible staff to power outage, broken coffee maker, limited electricity and plumbing issues, secondary espresso pot couldn’t be used on induction stove. Very little amenities.
