The Loutrel

the Loutrel is absolutely hands down one of the nicest hotels in Charleston. They give so much attention to detail to make you feel at home. The welcome cocktails, the snacks, the breakfast…Amazing! The workout room was great with healthy snacks and fruit, and the room was clean, upscale, and fully stocked. They really do not miss a beat. The rooftop was beautiful as well!

Our experience was wonderful. The entire staff from the sweet girl who checked us in to Rafael the valet, they made us feel like family. We have traveled the world but your hotel staff were a cut above. Thank you for an amazing trip,

This hotel is top notch! I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels but very few compare to the Loutrel. From the location to all the special extras you are treated like royalty. Rafael Abrev started our stay on a high note and ended it the same way. First class hotel!

When my friend and I arrived at the Loutrel, we were quickly greeted and helped by Rafael, the valet! He made sure my electric car was fully charged by the time I departed the next day! All staff at this hotel, like Rafael, were professional, courteous, and helpful. The hotel and rooms are lovely and very clean. There are top notch amenities at the Loutrel- a nice fitness room, fun happy hour (free!), delicious breakfast (included), free snacks and drinks in the clubhouse (by fitness room), available bikes, beautiful roof top to sit and have drinks on, cold water with fruit provided all day! I will tell all my friends this is “the place” to stay in Charleston; it has a great location in the heart of the historic district! We could walk everywhere.

My husband and I stayed at The Loutrel for our 36th wedding anniversary. The hotel was wonderful. The bed was super comfy, the breakfast delish, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was right in the heart of Charleston and was walkable to everything. We also had tea on the rooftop, which was FANTASTIC! We each got to pick out our own tea (there was a huge and varied selection); the sandwiches (salmon, chicken salad, pimento cheese, and a cream cheese with bacon) and the desserts were incredible, as were the scones, which came with clotted cream and several jams and honey. We had prosecco and a yummy cold non-alcoholic tea. You could also order any other drinks off their menu (for an additional charge). The table was set with the utmost care and attention. It had fresh flowers, figurines, beautiful glassware and silverware, a lovely tablecloth etc. This experience was so much fun! My brother-in-law hemmed and hawed about participating (he did this for me), but he really enjoyed it too (he seriously did). The rooftop view is spectacular, and the service was exceptional. This would be so fun for a bridal or baby shower, an anniversary, or just a nice afternoon activity. I highly recommend. Overall, the hotel was outstanding! Everyone in the staff were very helpful and accommodating. In particular, I struck a conversation in Spanish with Rafael Abreu who was very friendly and helpful.

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Loutrel. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was delicious, as well as the afternoon cocktail hour. I would recommend staying here, for sure. Fantastic location, easy to walk to local attractions and marvelous restaurants.

I had such an incredible experience! From the valet with Elliot and Donavan, to Annecia at the front desk serving impeccable welcome cocktails, and Leah’s lovely smile and warm spirit at the bar, our time here was so special. I so hope to visit again soon. The location is excellent, right next to the Market and around the corner from Carmella’s. We visited from Greenville, SC along with a friend from Paris. We all loved it. The attention to detail and care the staff put in is a joy to experience.

Beautiful well located hotel with excellent breakfast and happy hour. Rooftop bar and welcome cocktail were wonderful touches.
