The staff warned us multiple times about the late night noise from the disco next door (even when we checked in) but we liked the place so much we stayed an extra night anyway. Two members of staff also bent over backwards to help us get on the road when we discovered our rented car had a flat battery.

A great little hotel with a good restaurant attache and breakfast included at a bargain price. A little basic but with spacious bedroom and very conveniently located for all shops, restaurants and the beach. Was warned in advance about very loud music snd given the opportunity to cancel but took the chance and took earplugs. Stayed 6 nights and only Friday and Sat night had extremely loud music until 3am so best to avoid those days. Apart from that I would happily go back. Tamarindo though is a very noisy town until about 11pm most days,

I booked my stay at La Oveja Surf House for 7 days and 6 nights but only stayed for 2 nights. The first night we got no sleep due to the noise (we were told) but we never thought it would be an ALL night thing. We thought we could give it another try and stay a second night but it was the same thing noise all night and we got no sleep. There were also ants everywhere and there were so many dead ants behind the beds as if they were sprayed and not cleaned. I woke up to a rash on my hand and when the hotel reached out to me to know why we were checking out early I explained the situation and they replied back with an apology but they should mention that they are the ones that host the events and that’s why there’s so much noise and they could have refunded the remaining 4 nights that were paid for and not used.

Too loud noisy at night.. Not enough water to shower, told the issue to management but did not do anything about it.. Staff very friendly and polite

This place was near everything, but it seemed like Las Ovejas and the neighbouring bar were competing with their music until 3:00 am. It felt like we were in a speaker playing 2 different songs at the same time. You can tell the common area was nice at one time, but needs some love. The hotel seems forgotten about and the restaurant out front (which is beautiful) is the priority. Also, our mattress was rock hard and that’s coming from people who aren’t picky. We will stay somewhere else next time.

There was not nearly as much noise as has been stated. It is a good place to stay

Please read the reviews and trust that the noise reviews are legitimate. There is a night club 25 meters from the back of these rooms. I did read the reviews and the staff warned us but it was so much worse than I imagined. There was music blaring and bumping till 3 am so much that the walls were shaking. If you are a light sleeper do not book this spot. We ended up leaving after one night.

Wow location is what it's all about! This wondrful hotel is walking distance to everything including the beach. When we first arrived we were greeted by Hillary. she immediately made us feel like family. She was incredibly helpful. She arranged the best sunset catamaran for us. So much fun. The red. WOW what a delicious huge breakfast at their beuatiful restaurant The owner came over and introduced himself What a great cool guy! Also makes you feel like you're at his home We can't say enough wonderful; things about the staff, service and overall experince. We will definitely be back.

Very cool place in a great location if you’re looking to be in the night life, close to the beach, and by all of the restaurants. As all of the other reviews, and the hotel said in advance, it is loud at night. The food is good, service was excellent, and it is exactly as advertised.
