Host & Stay - St Johns Mews

Location to city centre.

Funky smell in apartment. Beds are uncomfortable. I specifically asked if there was parking at the apartment, to be told No. So we parked in a car park a few minutes walk away, which cost £45 for 2 days. Once inside, there is a parking permit for the private car park! Information given from hosts was unreliable, and their customer services is non-existent.

"The staff from Host & Stay who own this apartment hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful prior our arrival. They provided good guidance and instructions of the arrival procedures . The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and Sky mediabox in the evenings. We loved the convenient location close to city walls and Monk Bars entrance, a great apartment for a family holiday in York, Yorkshire.

Apartment was beautiful and spacious, excellent location.

There was no hot water for duration of our stay. They didn't answer the phone, only email, which was delayed. Such a shame because apartment and location was beautiful but customer service terrible. Balcony could have done with a clean.

Comfortable, modern and excellent location with its own parking space.

Balcony area very dirty, furniture had lots of bird droppings. Bad iron burn mark on carpet in one of the bedrooms.

No breakfast

There was nothing we didn’t like.

easy walking to the city - but very difficult to find with the car , Balcony was lovely - very good appliances -

We found getting in the property very confusing - admittedly we could have all read the instructions better, but quite a bit of faffing to get the key - Only 3 pillows on the double bed, the carpet on the stairs was sodden - so always had a wet foot - did smell a little due to this - and it cost a further £ 10 (non refundable ) for the security deposit .

Location was excellent, apartment very spacious with a lovely balcony for catching the evening sun. Plenty of seating for 4 adults, comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms.

Wasn't as clean as it could have been, dirty crockery in dishwasher. One bed had 3 not 4 pillows.

Lovely flat, walking distance to town center and shops, also local shops just round the corner.

We have experienced some issues but it was dealt with exceptionally so not much to complain about as everything was sorted out at the end. Would stay again.
