Valtur Cervinia Cristallo Ski Resort

We were lucky enough to spend New Year here and it couldn’t have been a better way to see in the year. From the moment we arrived there was a real sense of occasion. The hotel had that perfect festive atmosphere which was beautifully decorated, lively without being chaotic, and just the right balance of celebration and comfort. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, even with it being one of the busiest times of the year. We were staying in the Matterhorn Suite and our room was immaculate and felt like a proper retreat from the excitement downstairs. Spotlessly clean, warm, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was comfortable which we were especially grateful for in the mornings! Little details like good lighting, a powerful shower and quality toiletries didn’t go unnoticed. The view was also incredible with 2 separate terraces. There was also a Sauna within the room which was welcomed after a long day of skiing. The skiing setup was superb. The hotel has a really well equipped boot room which is organised and properly thought through, not just an afterthought space. Being able to access the slopes directly from the hotel made mornings effortless, and for days when we wanted a slightly different start point, the shuttle bus was constantly running and convenient. It genuinely took all the stress out of ski logistics. Coming back in each afternoon was a highlight in itself. The complimentary après ski nibbles laid out around the fireplace created such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Boots off, drink in hand, fire crackling felt like exactly how a ski day should end. The New Year’s Eve celebrations themselves were fantastic. Everything felt well organised and thoughtfully done. The food was excellent. We dined in the Gou restaurant and it was all beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. The service throughout the evening was attentive without ever feeling rushed. As midnight approached, the atmosphere built perfectly. It felt celebratory and special, with the live music and entertainment being one of the best I have experienced. Breakfast on New Year’s Day was equally impressive. Despite the late night, the team were cheerful and nothing felt like an afterthought. What really stood out was the staff. Every single person we encountered seemed genuinely proud to be part of the stay. It made all the difference. A huge thank you to Federica, who made everything so easy and communicated with us every day to make sure we were happy. We left feeling relaxed, well looked after and already saying we’d love to come back for another New Year. A brilliant way to start the year and we will be back!

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Valtur in Cervinia. After many years of skiing in the French Alps, the warm hospitality of Italy was a refreshing change for me. The hotel was spotless. The modern-style rooms felt exceptional because of their size and the superbly comfortable beds. The bathrooms were also high quality. The first-class facilities, including the great pool area and gym, made my stay enjoyable. As a skier, I found it easy to take full advantage of my holiday. The shuttle bus service to the Gondola was timely and ran frequently, making it a convenient place to stay. The food experience was another highlight of our holiday. The restaurants offered a great variety. Gou's à la Carte menu was fantastic, the food at the Pizzeria was top-notch, and the buffet at Gargantua was well-prepared and beautifully presented. They made an effort to cater to guests with specific dietary needs, offering a good range of gluten-free options. I want to give a special mention to Federica. She was outstanding and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. Her thoughtfulness and dedication added to our enjoyment and made our stay memorable.

My wife, myself and kids stayed here in Jan 2026 as had an excellent holiday. We stayed in 2 separate rooms and found the accommodations to be very comfortable. Very spacious with good storage facilities and not adjacent room noise. The hotel had great facilities, boot & ski locker room, SPA & swimming pool, arcade room etc. The free Apre Ski buffet was a nice touch. The shuttle bus to and from the ski lifts was excellent and ran very frequently and there were never any delays. Dinning was excellent and good quality. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The entertainment team / band were also very professional. We would definitely return and stay here again. The ski in / out option was also very useful, although only accessed via a red run. Hotel bar prices were higher than you would experience in the village or on the slopes, but not outrageous given the excellent surroundings and evening entertainment.

Fabulous ski trip with group of 9 friends. Nothing too much trouble. Attentive staff at bar, restaurants, housekeeping all of it!!! Food was amazing in all the restaurants which we had as part of our halfboard. Pool great. Good Spa but was an extra £. Entertainment all nights was brill. Ski taxis for pick up /drop off from either of 2 locations super quick & efficient. Not really much to fault here all in all 10/10!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this ski-in/ski-out hotel. Everything was incredibly convenient — from the on-site ski rental to the great choice of restaurants each evening. The afternoon and evening shows added a really nice touch, and there were plenty of well-organized activities beyond skiing to keep things interesting. A special thank you to Beatrice for her great recommendations — they truly made our stay even more special. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Great stay at the Cristallo. The room are big and new, the food is great and they have a wonderful Spa. We celebrated a birthday for one of the friends, and Diana, the host of the restaurant made it all happen, when she organized a great surprise party for him. That really made the stay amazing

Awesome hotel and resort, luxury at a reasonable price. Hotel is very well equipped, onsite ski hire was very good, all top notch, new Rosignol kit. Food was excellent as was bar and entertainment. Staff are very helpful, especially Tommaso Schiavetti on reception, he kindly let us tag along with him and his friends on our first day, essentially his day off, gave us the keys to the mountain. Super nice guy and set us up for the rest of the trip. Love the Italians, so welcoming and friendly. A very different experience to the last 10 years going to the French Alps that's for sure. Will definitely be going back to Italian and Cervinia instead of France in the future due to the Italians friendly, welcoming hospitality.

Words and pictures simmply cannot do this wonderful hotel justice but I'll give it a go. We are a seasoned skiing couple and have skied / stayed in dozens of ski resorts hotels. This was our first trip to Cervinia and we picked this hotel based on location and the fact it was an ex-club Med (mike the MMV hotels) this has never let us down before. We were expecting an MMV level of expereince but what we got was waaaayyy better and far better than an Club Med with have stayed in. My Wife if Gluten Intollerant which is always a concern with Half-Board cztering but the staff were wonderful. Hotel - Stunning, spotless and amazing facailities. The pool area is stunning and included decent gym, again included. The Spa from the outside looked lovely but the prices put us off. Staff - The BESThotel staff / service of any Hotel I have staying in ANYWHERE in the world. Every single one cannot do enough for you. Efficent / professional without being over the top. A special thanks to Antinio, the bar / restaurant manager who greeted us every morning and had a specail selection of GF breads, rolls, cookies waiting for my wife when we sat down for breakfast. Every evening he walked her through the buffet options and checked directly with the Chefs. Room - Stunning well sized rooms with the most comfortable Queen beds. Modern bathrooms tastefull done with a Bide and Rain head shower which was always hot when needed. Towels changed every day if you want. Lovely views all round. We stayed in Room 3122 which was at the end of the corridor directly above the restaurant so not much footfall and very quiet. Dinning - The pictures speak for themselves. Just amazing all week. There are 4 options for food; Main Buffet, Pizzeria, Sushi and an Al-A-Karte Restaurant. Only the Pizzeria and Buffet are included free with 1/2 board. Presentation / selection / quality of food is the est I have ever expereinced. Location / Skiing - First time in Cervinia and it was amazing. Hotel is a fair way up the hill have a has free shuttle buses that will ferry you to the Gondola or Town in 5mins. Rarely had to waitm thei pick you up directly outside the Ski Room. The newer ski lockers (whch we had) have key card swipe accesss that pops your heated locker open which is way more convienent than carrying keys. Best lockers with have even had with loads of room and 8 sets of waming racks so boots, Gloves and Helemts all toasty warm each morning. Spotless with no musty smell that you get in most basement ski lockers. Free Team and water by the entrance to the ski room! Summary - Not the cheapest of options but better than any CLub Med we have stayed in albeit without the free bar / lift passes. The only minor niggle and this is really minor given the quality of the place was the bar prices; 10e for a small beer, 14e for a small glass of wine and 6e for a bottle of still or sparkling water. Incedible holiday, stunning ski resort. When we come back to Cervinia there will be only one Hotel on our list of places to stay, Hotel Valtur

Really a 5* experience. This was the second year we visited, booked through Crystal. We loved our stay last year skiing but there has been a significant improvement in many respects this year. Here is why: Dining-wise an enormous step-up. The breakfast is fantastic, and the dinner now includes a nightly (included) choice of three restaurants. Firstly Gou (a la carte) for a superb gourmet tasting menu that was delicious and with really the most attentive, delightful staff and in an amazing setting. Then the Pizzeria for a brilliant choice of pizzas, and finally the Gargantua buffet restaurant for a huge and well presented range of international foods. The only issue is that tap water should be placed on tables as the bottled water is an unnecessary expense. The rooms are well appointed, lovely bathroom/shower, very comfortable beds, and perfect for ski-gear. The only snag - wifi would drop out for short periods. The central lounge is a delight. FAR BETTER entertainment than last year, with a really outstanding band playing most evenings (amazing saxophone and singer) and gorgeous central fire. Drinks however are surprisingly expensive. Very easy and prompt shuttle to/from the town. You can ski in/out. Skiing down to the resort on the Red 7, 13 and 16 is easy and a really wonderful run, but there is then a 200m v-shaped track next to a magic carpet to negotiate from Run 16 to an outdoor lift that takes you directly into the hotel ski-room. The 200m track is however too narrow to ski and a bit of a hazard, so the hotel should try to flatten/widen it to make the ski in-out more feasible. In the morning, the magic carpet upwards is good, and then from the Red 16/Bis it's a short, if narrow and winding run to the gondola, or of course you take the easy and quick bus shuttle. The ski room facility is outstanding - so well organised, great heated lockers, very well supervised and excellent Rossignol ski gear to hire. Our daughter used the gym and thought it was good. Finally - Crystal - absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. As you can tell - we loved our stay and are so impressed at the improvements this year, particularly in the restaurants. All staff were so lovely, engaging and helpful. A few thanks/mentions to restaurant manager Antonio, Selena in Gou, Santiago in Gargantua, and Lucia in Reception. But really - all staff were so well engaged and really lovely. Overall - a truly outstanding ski-holiday experience, and congratulations to the hotel for the notable quality-improvements this year, especially in the restaurants.
