Staff friendly and welcoming

Bathroom a little dated & could do with freshening up.

John and Louise were amazing hosts. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pub is very quaint old English feel. The grounds are stunning to sit in and enjoy a drink. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast menu had plenty of choice. The restaurant menu also had plenty of choice and the daily specials were amazing. The bar had a range of drinks to accommodate anyone.

A kettle in the room, Hunters lodge do have a residents coffee station at the bottom of the stairs with tea, coffee and hot chocolate free for your stay but did mean you had to go downstairs to make a brew in a morning.

Great location ( for zoo ) tucked away nicely . Nice friendly pub. Nice evening meal ( if I had to be critical my steak was ever so slightly over cooked to what I asked) and decent breakfast . Would recommend
