Grwat breakfast full Englisb with fried bread. Very friendly staff.

Double room and en suite very small but only stayed for one night so not critcal.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and extremely friendly. The outside of the building was picturesque and the car park easily accessible. An ideal location for our needs of visiting friends who live nearby and close to Whipsnade Zoo.

The room was poky and the en-suite was very small with only a small shower and no bath with no space to place personal toiletries. The TV was in an alcove and not visible from the bed. There was nowhere to sit down with no chair or stool. The mirror was too low down to use without kneeling down. I asked if we could change our room but was told they were fully booked on the second night of our stay.

The staff were friendly especially the lady who served our breakfast in the morning, which was all cooked fresh to order, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. the beds were comfortable. Little toiletries in the bathroom were good.

There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms, we had to walk downstairs to a table set up just outside the main pub to make a drink, the kettle was not full and we had to ask for this to be filled, this was not ideal especially first thing in the morning as we had to get dressed to go out and make a drink. The bathrooms were very shabby and not especially clean. We did not feel that the price matched the accommodation. Our room was absolutely freezing the heating didn’t work in it. Fortunately we were only staying 1 night.

The staff were exceptional - attentive, friendly and engaged. Very comfortable and clean. They were flexible and helpful. The food was very good - delicious breakfast.

The portion sizes were a bit large for us. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room although tea and coffee were available free from the bar and there was a facility to make your own downstairs when the bar was closed.

Staff really good, rooms new and clean, breakfast really good, great value for money can fault it!
