"The George Inn - An absolute must on everyone's visit to the Yorkshire Dales."

Fantastic traditional Yorkshire Inn in an idyllic setting next to the River Wharfe. Great beer, great food (especially the award winning pies made by the lovely Sarah) and a pub atmosphere that you will not find anywhere else, created by the ever-entertaining owner and landlord Ed. We shall be back!!!

The shower in the room was a little 'temperamental' but a very small issue.

"Great stay at The George"

Lovely cosy inn in beautiful surroundings with plenty of great walks right on the doorstep. Ed and staff always make everyone feel welcome, the food is delicious and the portions very generous. Delicious breakfast, comfy clean rooms, great atmosphere and there's always another friendly customer to chat to in the bar.

"Great stay along the Dale's Way"

What fantastic and kind hosts! The George inn was something out of history and the couple running the inn joined us for wine while we had dinner. Lovely company! Great stop for hiking along the Dale's way.
