Fox and Pheasant Inn

Location was perfect. Lovely bar with open fire.

Portion sizes were enormous. I would have preferred less on my plate!

We stayed in the room above the front door, and the door was very loud when closing

Hier avondeten gedaan, dat was gewoon slecht, ik had steak pie, dat was droog verbrand van binnen, gewoon niet goed, ontbijt vond ik redelijk, onderstaand mijn zoon zijn commentaar. Door deze zaken mbt eten een zware onvoldoende, dus advies eet in de omgeving maar niet hier. In our 10 day vacation this was the only place where I left food on the plate. I work in a restaurant and the food was not to quality standarts. For dinner I had nachos, which had 80% of the chips below the toppings that got soggy instantly. There should be a seperate bowl with chips. Also there was a dirty fork on the table. For breakfast I had the full english, I left with a full plate.  Eggs were watery, there was a whole boiled tomato cut in half not grilled, way too many beans, a piece of literal deep fried bread soaked with oil, little flavor in the haggis or black pudding, mushrooms were cooked from frozen, bacon was also cooked from frozen and was too dry with white fat on it, half of the toast was burned, sausages were fine. There were few options in the buffet provided. Overall, wait time was 35 minutes for both breakfast and dinner, quantity over quality and there wasn’t a proper cook. Any tips for the restaurant if u read this, please shorten the menu to help with preparations and wait time. Also revisit portion sizes and ratio’s, u want quality over quantity not the other way around
