Blue Boar Inn

The room was set in a nice location. The lady that checked me in was nice, she said she would of been happy to upgrade my room to one with a bath but the decision was not hers and the decision maker wanted me to pay to upgrade or take one with a shower

My room needed a complete overhaul. The bed was uncomfortable and it was in desperate need of redecorating and new furniture. It looked like it was furnished with odd bits of second hand furniture. Access to the room was up a dark dingy spiral staircase or though the dining room where a big group of people were having a meal. The room options list a shower or bath for the particular room i was booking. On arrival I was told that the room I had booked only had a shower and I would need to pay extra to upgrade my room to one with 2 beds to have use of a bath. This is not what was listed. I booked this room due to problems i have with my back mean a bath is easier than a shower. The bathroom needed a good scrub, the extraction fan was filthy and sealant on the shower was black with mould I was woke up in the morning to the sound of furniture being dragged round in the room below.

Staff are friendly and helpful,food in restaurant is good and a reasonable price

The cups were dirty in our room. No spoons. Very tired. The family room one of the beds had what looked like blood stains on the sheets. The sheet was very creased, either had been washed or ironed.

Visiting family and location was excellent. Food was very good and plenty of choice.

The bathroom mirror in bedroom 1 could do with being lowered 4 to 6 inches. Being only 5ft1in I could not even see the top of my head. Otherwise all was good

It was plain but clean and tidy. Can youput a spoon in the room for the tea & coffee please
