The Bootham Tavern - York

Friendly staff.Good breakfast.Good location

I stayed here for two nights on the wsy back from Scotland to London. I always love York. The room above the pub was comfortable and had all that was needed for the two nights. The check in was quick and was shown to my room. There is no view from the room which didnt bother me as only needed the bed. The shower was good and refreshing. The normal tea and coffee was supplied. It was surprisingly quiet given that it was above a pub.

Clean rooms and friendly welcoming staff. Good breakfast cooked to order. Fab location just a few minutes walk from the old city walls and York Minster.

A lovely pub in the centre of York with rooms and a pay and display carpark behind it. I've stayed here before and will always stay here whenever I visit York.

Central location. Clean accommodation

Mattress was too firm for my liking. A container or platform for the soap/shower gell would help in the shower unit.

The location is good and the staff were all freindly

The room was tiny, not suitable for a double it was gruby dusty and needed a good clean with mould in the shower and bathroom .

Location of the tavern was close to the train station and close to the city centre. Room was clean comfortable and had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and approachable. Cooked breakfast was just spot on.

I can't think of anything that needed improving.
