The Parsonage Hotel & Spa

It was a lovely setting and the staff were helpful and friendly only stayed 1 night so didnt use the spa facilities but they looked nice when we had a walk round. Our family room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was buffet style and everything was tasty and fresh with plenty of choice.

We liked the location, and it was easy to get into York. We loved the Pub next door. The food and service were excellent. We used the pool, which was wonderful. There are spa facilities there also, which we did not use. The breakfast was a buffet. There was a wonderful selection to choose from. The food was very good and the service was excellent.

The room was smaller than expected, so it was a little cramped. I did have to clean the bathroom myself as there were hairs in the shower, and the toilet needed a wipe in areas. We found a hair in the bed. They should check the rooms more closely. I am fussy so I check everything.

The hotel is in a nice setting…lovely building …about 10 minutes from York…with easy access via bus…nearest bus stop is a 2 minutes walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was ok…nothing special…buffet style but good variety

There was a couple of negatives…firstly the room we were given was very small and on the top floor…with no lift access…carrying luggage up and down was not an easy task…not helped by my partner packing a weeks worth of stuff for a one night stay …the room was also unbearably hot and uncomfortable even with a fan which is a cheap desk fan and the shower was terrible…lacked power
