Hotel Marakanda

Very friendly and helpful staff - I got an early check-in without a problem, and was allowed beyond the check-out hour. Spacious room.

The lift did not work, when I was there. No problem really, as this is just two floors, and it is apparently only temporarily. But for people who require a lift, better check

The hotel is located on a quiet street. The hotel staff was very friendly and responsive, always answering our questions and requests. The room was spacious and very-very (!) warm, with heated floors in the bathroom as well. The room includes necessary cosmetic amenities and a kettle with tea. Although the breakfast table was not very large, it was quite diverse.

In our room, there were no windows facing the street, only directly into the hotel lobby. We were offered to change rooms if we wanted, but it didn't bother us, so don't hesitate to ask the staff.

the reception staff were excellent. Specially Jamshed - giving directions, organising the cabs (giving directions to the cab driver to help me to get back to the hotel. The room was huge and very well served.

House keeping service was a bit lacking - not cleaning the room properly during the day. I would request them improve the day service for the rooms.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the center (new and very clean). Large rooms. Wi-Fi - good. Delicious and varied breakfasts - very tasty. There is a restaurant nearby. Staff speaking good English and very helpful. The hotel is an old madrasa, so the atmosphere is appropriate. I recommend

Location, pretty clean, early settlement Samarkand is a beautiful city. Nice restaurant ("Samarkand") is just in about 5 min for a walk. Pilav center Maroqand Osh Markazi is pretty close to - 10 min

There are no windows in the room, so there is not fresh air inside. You can open a window to the central hall, but it's absolutely horrible to sleep without fresh air. The fire alarm is shining brightly. The light from the hall also makes it difficult to sleep. Poor breakfast. I don't plan to stay at this hotel again.

Very spacious room with everything I needed. Very comfortable bed. Lovely friendly staff. The neighbourhood is quiet and it’s easy to walk into the centre.

Property was ok. All room windows face indoors which is not nice
