Sawah Ijen

Best place in entire Indonesia. I would go back there NOW.

Really cozy place. The room is in front of the rice terraces, into the nature. Nice staff. We asked for blanket and extra towel and they provided it straight away. At night you hear the croaking of frogs

The location was amazing. The guesthouse faces rice fields, and the neighborhood around is a delight to visit. The accommodation itself was simple but sufficient for us. It was very pleasant to fall asleep while listening to the frogs.

The shower did not provide enough hot water for a proper short shower.

Such a beautiful view of rice field and Mt Ijen at your own bed! The room is set up like a small hut, so it is like you are in part of the nature. Breakfast was superb and set up very nicely at the garden. There are several nice restautrants as well as Warung within walkable distance. Also one can wander around the ricefield. A lovely place to stay for a few nights just to enjoy the surrounding.

as it is set up like part of the nature,expect ants and mosquito(make sure you ask for mosquito net). Room is a little bit small and as the hut was built with bamboo, the sound proof was not very good, we could clearly hear the conversation at the neighbouring hut. However exactly because of this, once your neighbours are alseep (which most of them do sleep early as everyone has to wake up for the Mt ijen tour just after midnight), all you could hear is the sound of the nature (frogs, crickets and birds singing...) which we thoroughly enjoy.

Very noisy at night when everyone goes to Ijen. There was not any insulation - you will hear everything

Everything perfect. Great place to visit Ijen. Thanks to the hosts we arranged a driver to go up to Ijen in the night and pick us up in the morning. The breakfast was nice and also the view from the room. Recommended !
