Stay Golden

The property is situated in a fantastic location, complemented by a cooperative property management team. The staff was attentive, and the service provided was truly commendable.

While some guests may enjoy pets, we prefer to avoid disturbances caused by cats, especially in the restaurant area.

We are a family of 4 with kids of 8 and 9 yo We almost cancelled our time in arugam bay… everyone was saying the weather would nt be good this time of year etc. we are glad we listen to the owners of the hotel and decided to stick to our plan! The place is awsome. The rooms we so nice. With everything you need. The swimming pool is really good too Just steps away from a private beach where we were the only ones. The restaurant serves delicious food and the staff was really good. The owners helped us with safari tours in the near by park and some surf lessons and rentals The yoga class was also really nice We had amaizing weather. And a even better time! Met some great peopler there and we were sad to leave!

Everything was really fine. Even though i think price is bit too high. But it was just my personal opinion

Why i gave just 7 out of 10 is because of breakfast. We informed stuff previous day that we are leaving early and need breakfast at 8. We got our omeletes at 8:45. 9:15 still no fruits and we simply cant wait longer. Really sorry but breakfast isnt a dinner- most of people have plans fir a day. But that was only bad thing i can say.

Stay Golden is a beautiful and chill place to stay. We loved everything: the room, the pool, the food, the beach, the staff,... we even booked an extra night. It was wonderful. We booked a lagoon boat trip and a safari in Kumana National Park and we were amazed by the amount of animals we've seen. We took a yoga and a pilates class too. Would definitely come back here!!

Extremely friendly staff, very Nice and clean rooms and very close to the private beach, AC and hot water working properly.

The food was average at best, an extreme amount of bugs ans insects in the restaurant.

A little bit out of town. Great place to come back and relax away from crowds. Loved the cats and dogs. ❤️. Yoga was really good too.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff. Fantastic yoga class 2-3 times per day. Cute cats and dogs.

The price is too high and it was the only (and most expensive) hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka where the breakfast was not included. Test if brakes of the bycicles which are available at the propery work before you ride.. we took 6 different ones and in 4 of those the brakes where not working… Be aware that the beach close to the hotel is not suitable for swimming due to the high waves but the main beach is a 10min walk away

A great place, close enough to walk to arugam bay, but just far enough that you are away from the busyness. Perfectly relaxing.

Stay Golden can step up some elements to ‘stay golden’. * shower was luke warm at best, even during sunny days * maintenance aircon 2+ hours during stay, one day before leaving, better to schedule day later * cleaning was OK, but not golden, both the house and the restaurant * room sizes as indicated on Booking and elsewhere are probably including terrace, as actual size inside was smaller
