Stay Golden

Stay golden had everything you could need in one place! Amazing vibes and great location in Arugam bay. We loved using the free bikes to ride into town each day and explore. Great staff and we loved our surf instructor Rizi. Very reasonably priced considering the location and all the amenities. Food and drinks delicious too. A wonderful place to stay!

We loved our time at Stay Golden. The room was fabulous and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The balcony was gorgeous with a lovely seating area, swing & hammock. We loved to sit there looking out to sea, watching the crashing waves. Angie & Rihan are lovely people. Our son joined Rihan for a surfing lesson at Elephant Rock which he really enjoyed. Their team of staff are also really friendly and happy to help with anything that you need. The food is healthy and delicious. We really enjoyed our breakfasts. The beach where the resort is located is just stunning. It was totally deserted when we were there. There are a few sunbeds and a swing if you would like to chill out there rather than around the pool. However, the pool is lovely as swimming in the sea isn't really possible. Arugam Bay is a liitle bit of a walk in the heat however it is very easy to get a tuk tuk. They seem to come to and from the resort pretty regularly. We struck lucky with a really lovely driver called Jaleel who we just messaged when we needed a ride and he came and picked us up. I'm sure that the resort would be able to provide you with his number! It was lovely to be just outside the busy Arugam Bay centre. Overall we had a fabulous stay and will definitely return.

Only staying for two nights!

loved the location, close enough to town (free bikes) but quiet beach front. Great hosts and staff, chilled and helpful, nice food, great pool and lounge areas

Beautiful family run hotel outside the busyness of the town. The family run hotel have super friendly staff, the food is good and reasonably priced and it was such a haven of relaxation to sit by the pool in the day. People tend to stay for slightly longer periods of time so there's a really nice community feel that doesn't feel overcrowded at all

- extremely friendly hosts and staff - chilled good vibes - nice, cozy apartments - really good food - close to the center of Arugam Bay - possibility to rent surfboards, scooter, TukTuks and bikes - organized lagoon safari and regular safari tours offered

Beautiful room with lots of space, a hammock, good AC and great bathroom. Great facilities (pool, nearby private beach, bike & scooter rental). Very good on-site restaurant with healthy and tasty food. Lovely staff. Activities provided (surfing lessons and board rental, safari).

I liked everything.

Highly recommended! A family of five. We had the most wonderful time at Stay Golden. Angie and Rihan, the charming couple who owns the place, have created a small microcosmos with everything we needed. Other than going out to surf, we barely left the complex. Rihan gave the kids surfing lessons and pointed the more experienced surfers of our bunch to the right surfing spots. Thank you!
