Nature Resort

It was great value for the money. The staff was kind and courteous, and the owner was a really nice guy! Had the opportunity to see the monkeys and lots of other wildlife. It was great!

I wish they would’ve been handing out winning lottery tickets, but they weren’t but other than that it was great!

Location ideal for baboon sanctuary, and maybe exploring a bit - maybe because our visit was much affected by rain (still a good visit to the monkeys though). Nice lunch. Quiet. Decent bed. Effective aircon/fan. We were in the cheapest hut, which has two bedrooms and one bathroom, mid December, the only guests one of our two nights.

The hut is a bit deteriorated, although weatherproof and some decor was renewed. There were some small gaps in the building structure, which may be why a few biting insects and a couple of cockroaches were present. Agreed, such are hard to keep out of a log hut. One step up was rotted and very very slippery when wet - needs repair. As so often, few and inconvenient electric outlets predate mobile phones. Only cold shower (as advertised). We felt a bit exposed when establishment unstaffed - maybe that's just us. Only place to put loo roll is on top of the shitrag bin, generally no shelves or hooks in bathroom.

Beautiful landscaping. Quiet and secluded. Wonderful small museum.

Mosquitoes. They need screens and they need to close the doors. Nets over the beds. Better bathroom- shower very basic, no place to put anything on the pedestal sink.

This is the perfect relaxing place surrounded by green and exotic sounds with the kindest staff that made my stay memorable. Starting with Dr. Roy, the owner, he is so nice and helpful and prepared an amazing meal for me the day I arrived, late in the evening from the airport. Bernardine is a sweetheart that cooks delicious food and gets everything comfy for the guests! She made me feel at home. Mr. Lawrence took me places and made me feel super safe along the way, he got the best culture insights. This experience gave me such family vibes that I wish I have stayed longer. Would definitely love to go back.

I loved being in a small resort that felt like we were in the jungle (basically we were!). Very cool experience being so far inland. Saw howler monkeys about 100 yards from our hut and lots of other wildlife such as birds, bush rabbits, and iguanas. Highly recommend if you want to feel like you are truly in a natural habitat.

When we got there we mistakenly got assigned the wrong hut. It was super tiny and felt like a prison cell because you couldn't see out unless you opened the vents in the window openings... but then it would be pointless to run the AC since there is no glass, just a screen. The room had a full bed, twin bed, desk, and a plastic chair. Absolutely no floor space to in the room to move about or sit comfortably. We requested to be moved and they kindly gave us the choice of whichever hut we wanted - that was nice!

Nice stay. Friendly host. A good getaway location. Delicious food, and free and tasty mangos every day.

This place is in the middle of no where, we turned up after a long drive and no one was there, the whole place was closed. We had to find last minute accommodation which was significantly more expensive and never had any communication from the owner about this. Luckily the neighbour helped us as we had no internet access and couldn't phone anyone. They were able to phone a different hotel near by that could accommodate us otherwise we would have had nowhere to sleep.
