Beautiful mountain view, quiet location to unwind, very nice food

No descriptions of how difficult it is to access, especially with your own vehicles. The pictures are a bit misleading, it is simpler than it looks. Might be child friendly, not so much Toddler friendly.

"Why You Might Want to Rethink Your Trip to Silver Hill Ecovillage!"

10.0

Looking for an overhyped, underwhelming experience? Then Silver Hill Ecovillage is exactly where you shouldn't go! If you want to live with nature in a place like no other—a tropical paradise that feels like an idyllic escape—you won’t find a better place than Silver Hill Ecovillage. As for the accommodations? They offer comfortable beds in beautifully designed buildings made with mud walls that blend seamlessly with nature. With solar lights illuminating the path, you’ll appreciate their commitment to sustainability while enjoying a cozy atmosphere. The food? You’ll get the best Sri Lankan food, all organic and grown onsite with their sustainable agriculture practices. If you're into fresh, healthy eating and knowing exactly where your meals come from, you’ll be thrilled. And let’s not forget the sustainable building designs—they create a unique charm that sets this place apart from typical resorts. They even have a fresh water pool, in case you were hoping for some chemically treated swimming. Oh, and the harmony with the local villages and nature? It's so strong, they're focused on improving the livelihoods of the community while providing a truly enriching experience for guests. In short, if you prefer plastic cutlery, air-conditioned hotel rooms, and not having to think about nature or sustainability, I’d suggest staying far, far away from Silver Hill Ecovillage!

"We grow with people, not alone"

10.0

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation! The food was absolutely fantastic – everything is freshly cooked. The food is only sourced from our own garden or from the nearby village. We were especially impressed with the traditional dishes. A special highlight was the short garden tour where we were shown which spices grow in this area and how they are used. It was so interesting to learn more about the local plants. We also had the chance to take a short hike through the jungle to a nearby temple. The scenery along the way was beautiful and made the adventure even more special. The view from the accommodation is breathtaking, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the day. Overall, it was an amazing stay that we highly recommend to everyone!

"A Magical Week at Silver Hill Ecovillage!"

10.0

I spent an incredible week at Silver Hill Ecovillage, and it was truly unforgettable! If you’re looking for a place to escape and reconnect with nature, this is it. Stargazing: I loved lying outside at night, soaking in the breathtaking views of the stars—it's something you don’t get to see in the city! Firefly Watching: The fireflies dancing around added a magical touch to the evenings. Tea in the Rain: There’s nothing quite like sipping warm tea while listening to the soothing sounds of rain on the roof. Sounds of Nature: I fell asleep to the peaceful sounds of frogs and rustling leaves—it was incredibly calming. Nature Walks: I enjoyed long walks through the lush surroundings, exploring all the beauty that nature has to offer. Birdwatching: There were so many colorful birds! It felt like I was in a nature documentary. Special Sri Lankan Treats: The traditional Sri Lankan snacks were a highlight! Every meal was a delicious treat. Feel at Home: The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming; it really felt like home away from home. No Restrictions: I loved the freedom to explore and connect with nature at my own pace. Visit the Temple: I took a serene trip to a nearby temple, which added a nice cultural touch to my stay. Sunrise and Sunset Views: Watching the sun rise and set over the landscape was a breathtaking experience. Meditate: I found a peaceful spot to meditate in the mornings—such a great way to start the day! Cook in the Kitchen with Firewood: Cooking meals over a firewood stove was a fun and unique experience. Community Gatherings: Participating in community events made me feel connected to everyone around me. If you’re seeking a true escape into nature and a break from the usual hotel scene, I highly recommend spending a week at Silver Hill Ecovillage. Just be prepared for a simple, rustic experience that celebrates sustainability and community!

"A Tranquil Escape at Silver Hill Ecovillage: Authentic Hospitality and Nature at Its Best"

10.0

This is my second time at Silver Hill Ecovillage, and I absolutely love it. You can reconnect with nature, and the place is so serene. The views of the jungle stretch as far as the eye can see. I spent 7 days this time and visited the temple, explored the village, and roamed around the spice forest, which was amazing. I used the transport provided by Silver Hill, and our guide, Mo, was fabulous and very engaging. During my first visit, I took a taxi from the airport, but the driver couldn't follow Google Maps, complained throughout the trip, and it really spoiled our enthusiasm. My advice is to have Silver Hill organize a taxi for you. If you're using your own taxi, keep in mind that drivers and guides may complain about the roads and location, as they are more accustomed to mainstream tourist destinations. Also, taxi drivers may ask for extra money with various excuses, so be prepared to avoid letting it spoil your holiday. This happened to three groups while I was there, and they all wished they had asked Silver Hill to arrange transportation. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly, and you feel welcomed from the moment you step in. The atmosphere is informal, and you're free to enjoy the place without any restrictions. I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience authentic hospitality, food, and nature off the beaten track.

Everything was perfect!
