The Cloud Resort

The rooms are incredible. Amazing views created by these very uniquely designed structures! Food was delicious and very authentically Sri Lankan. The host, Inthizar, was so attentive and so helpful. Offered great flexibility and even took us on a tour of a local tea factory. Couldn’t have been nicer. Amazing value for money!

Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From our room, we saw a double rainbow stretching across the sky—one of those rare, magical moments that made the already stunning view even more unforgettable. Every sunrise and sunset felt like a gift. What really made our stay so special, though, was the owner. When we had a medical situation, he personally took us to the hospital—no questions asked. Throughout our visit, he went above and beyond, even for the smallest things. He helped with genuine care, always doing his absolute best, and you could feel how sincere he was. The food was another highlight. It wasn’t fancy or over the top—it was just really good, honest cooking made with love. Every meal felt comforting, like something you'd hope for after a long day. This place isn’t just a hotel—it’s a place where you feel truly looked after. We’ll always remember it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The fantastic room with the breathtaking view of the Sri Lankan highlands is unique. The team and Inthizar took excellent care of us. Many thanks for that in particular.

This exceptional place blew up our minds. At the top of the hill, surrounded by tea plantation and magnificent nature. The bungalows are so spacious and comfortable. Big and comfortable bed. The view of the valley below and sunrise is spectacular. The smells and sounds of the nature keep you so calm with no need of anything else. Property manager Inthizar and his team makes sure you are taken care of properly. The food is excellent, both local and international dishes and you can choose to eat at the bungalow or the terrace. The hike through the plantation was amazing and a special treat. It is a bit away from Kandy, but worth by any means. When we left, just like amazinh host he is, Inthizar was checking on us if we were doing fine on the rest of our voyage and if we needed any assistance from his side. Definitely a place to visit again.

The location was private, quiet, and off the beaten path. The location is about 45min from Kandy. Staff were excellent. Inthizar was incredibly communicative, hospitable, and helpful. The views were spectacular and the room was spacious. Expect a more rustic type of accommodation. There's no wifi, tv, or alcohol on property. Breakfast was served in the room and included fresh fruits. The welcome iced tea was delicious. The chef can also prepare other meals but expect to pay $$ hotel pricing for meals that are not included in your booking.

There were several ants in the bathroom at night.
