Gorgeous location, spacious rooms, great restaurant on site, great access to lake and lake activities

We loved the Rock Apartment - exceptional views from the balcony, the bay window sitting area, the bed, the kitchen and even the bathroom. Well worth the steps up to the room. Also, very clean, well-finished and comfortable. We really enjoyed the swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and sun loungers. The restaurant served very fresh and tasty meals. A big plus also was the lakeside footpath, which was an enjoyable walk to Santa Cruz.

I liked having a private apartment. I liked having a kitchen to prepare meals. I liked having a private balcony. I liked the two kitties on property. I liked the food we had in the restaurant and the restaurant staff and the two gardeners on staff.

The steps!! Although I was aware of the steps, let me just say they are no joke! Not only are there a lot of steps (well over 100), but they are uneven, twisty and there are no hand rails. In our particular apartment (The Rock Apartment) we were unable to lock our door from the inside, the door to the balcony would not close all the way, nor lock, the windows in the bay seat did not have screens, so we were not comfortable leaving them open all night for ventilation because we didn’t want bugs and/or mosquitoes to come in. The shower floor had slippery tiles; some non-skid would be advisable. The bathroom also had a strong sewage smell which was unpleasant. Finally, Viandy, who sent out an initial message identifying herself as our concierge was pretty much unresponsive during our entire stay. Lack of communication was disappointing. Full disclaimer: we are retired military and truly appreciate good, clear and timely communication.

I loved my stay here. The studio apartment had everything I needed, it was so peaceful and the view was everything!! The restaurant was a lovely spot and good value. The staff were great - Sissi and Fernando were really kind and helpful. It was a really easy stay.

please note, there is not much around the area food/restaurants wise. Hotel has a limited mostly vegan menu options. Had a kitchen in my room so good alternative option. Would recommend bring some food with you.

Can't beat the views! We had plenty of space in the Grand studio, with a comfortable bed, clean room and large balcony. Tucked away from town so very low key and quiet yet easy to haul a water taxi or hike 20min into Santa Cruz. The staff was really nice, we would definitely stay again!

We woke up to a blocked toilet leaking in our bathroom one morning, and had to message/alert staff a few times before someone finally came at the end of the afternoon. These things certainly happen and that's ok, but I would have expected a little more promptness in resolving the issue.
