Wszystko było wspaniałe. Po raz pierwszy podczas mojej długiej podróży mogłam się tu zatrzymać i naprawdę poczuć jak w domu. Ciepło gospodarzy, ich dobroć i serdeczność były naprawdę wyjątkowe. Chanakya odebrał mnie w mieście i od razu pokazał ciekawe punkty widokowe, opowiadając przy tym historię Buddy. Później doradził interesujące atrakcje, dzięki którym mogłam lepiej poznać kulturę Sri Lanki, m.in. tradycyjne tańce oraz masaż ajurwedyjski. Zawiózł mnie na oba te wydarzenia i cierpliwie na mnie czekał, co było niezwykle pomocne i komfortowe. Pomógł także w dalszym podróżowaniu po kraju, wskazując najlepsze opcje i udostępniając swoje sprawdzone kontakty. Jeśli ktoś nie ma konkretnego planu zwiedzania, może spokojnie przyjechać do tego miejsca, odpocząć, posmakować lokalnej kuchni (gospodynie gotują wyśmienicie), a następnie wybrać to, na co ma ochotę, korzystając ze sprawdzonych propozycji. Gorąco polecam!

It was peaceful and accessible from town. The host mama was so hospitable. Lovely fruit juice upon arrival and freshly made food. Brekkie very good. Grandma will make visitors amazing Sri Lanka food in evenings.

Our stay in Kandy was absolutely amazing and truly unforgettable. The accommodation is located slightly up the hill in a beautiful and peaceful area, with great bars nearby where you can enjoy drinks and food in a relaxed atmosphere. The city is easy to explore, as everything can be reached quickly by tuk-tuk. What really made this stay so special was the incredible host family. The mother and grandmother were also there, and their kindness touched our hearts deeply. They prepared breakfast for us and even cooked dinner one evening – the food was simply unbelievable, honestly one of the best meals we had on our entire trip. They took such wonderful care of us. When my mother had stomach pain, they made her a special linseed tea, and as a vegan, they went out of their way to buy tofu and vegan butter just for me. When my backpack tore, they immediately helped us with needle and thread. These small gestures meant so much to us. We felt incredibly comfortable and welcomed, had lovely conversations, and truly felt at home. The entire property is fenced and protected with a gate because of the monkeys – you will hear them in the early morning, which is actually a very unique and memorable experience. This was such a warm, caring, and loving family, and our stay here was simply wonderful. We would recommend this place from the bottom of our hearts.

Nous avons passé une super nuit au UK Forest Lodge. La chambre était spacieuse, la salle de bain très propre, et les lits confortables. Sans parler de la vue sur la ville qui est magnifique. Nous avons même eu le droit à un jus de bienvenue ! J'ai oublié mon masque de lit en partant, et les propriétaires ont tout fait pour me le rapporter gratuitement jusqu'à Cololno avant mon vol retour. Je recommande vivement cette homestay !
